Hey, sorry. I haven't checked the "spotted" thread in muuunths. I reside in Scottsdale now. I wonder what I was doing on Val Vista on Jan 14th? Sorry if I didn't honk/wave back.

BTW, there's a 08+ WRB (WRX/STI?) hatch that frequents the Granite Reef and McDowell area. I always see you pulling down my street. However it would be weird to throw up deuces through my living room window. Apparently my kids have met you, but we haven't had the pleasure.

Also, there's a bugeye I always see turning East off of 85th St. We've traded honks once I believe.

Nice cars.

**Edit: I'm going back through this thread to catch up and I have to say it's true. For the most part 08+ owners don't wave, honk, flash, etc. Come on Tempe/Scottsdale**

I'll keep an eye out for you then. Plus now if I see you and you don't wave, I'm calling you out. Haha.

Oh hell, I didn't know there was a downside to this!

If I don't wave, I can always blame the lunatics in traffic. Freaking people texting when they should be driving. Grr.

Anyway. Yes, waving. Waving good.

Yes, I'm a pretty consistent acknowledger of other subies, but apart from children and the one time I saw Psirene, I get nil. Oh well. Lol

White STI (lic plate JDMFRSH) on Hayden and the 202 in rush hour. My son loves the way your exhaust sounds.

SWP 08+ STI on 101 north around Warner at 5pm, threw deuces, not even a glance. Was in space ghost though not the Scooby. Also saw an older PSM WRX with a black trunk and nice exhaust note just after that but no deuces you were 2 lanes over and went by quickly lol.

I seem to be on fire today. Black WRX wagon with orange wheels and snowboard racks at Tempe Marketplace. My kids and I literally walked right by your driver's side door as you were pulling out. Not sure if you saw me throw up a deuce.

I always wave but I've noticed recently that my old silver bugeye got more return waves than my new dark grey wrx. Not sure if the color is part of the problem.

I think that bugeyes and lighter colored cars are just easier to spot. Do you have an exhaust on your car yet? That could be another reason why you don't get waves because us subie owners don't hear ya.

At 59th ave and union hills, I saw an ISM '12 or '13 wrx sedan stop at a redlight in a turning lane so I thought I would take a different route home . Once we turned I drove next to him and threw up the dueces. He looked straight at me and didn't even respond. I don't blame him. Most people don't know what the hell I drive. I sped up to get in front of him and we both got in the right turning lane at the light. Once we turned we both reached another red light and I could tell he wanted to race since he was rolling when it was still red. Once it turned green we were off and I pulled on him since the start and he was definitely trying. He must not have a short throw or something. I couldn't believe it. As we got close to another red light we rolled next to each other. He asked me, "What is that thing?". Priceless. That's when you know your car is a sleeper. I sure love the sound of my exhaust. Sorry for the long story. I just felt the need to tell it.

I'll take "what is that thing?" over "Is that a Matrix?" any day of the week. Obviously I need my badges back on and, as you mentioned previously, a bit of noise. :-D

Haha! People seriously ask you that?! Yeah, it's definitely nice to have an exhaust that finally makes noise. Adding the straight pipes to my sti exhaust has eliminated droning which I find odd.

No exhaust yet. It's on the list though. I miss the sound.

p.s. with the amount of rock chips I got on my last trip to Vegas, the front end of my car may be a lighter color soon enough

A badgeless WRB 04-05 WRX(?) paused briefly next to me as we were headed west on the 202 this morning, around Alma School. I waved but I couldnt see anything through our tints. You demonstrated proper WRX/STI etiquette by gunning it as you took off. Made me smile - I love that sound!
