Lowered on ugly stock wheels.

But these are going on this week, just waiting on the spacers as they did not clear the Brembos because of the low disk.

  1. I hate yellow fogs.
  2. Those coilovers look like they have 1mm of travel.
  3. The new wheels look terrible.

Just my opinions, but I'd gladly take bone stock over a car with those "upgrades".

I like them a lot. I've owned, helped install and driven on a few sets of BC Racing coilovers. And they are usually my choice when it comes to cheap coilovers. I've also tried Ksports and Tein Flex's on my rx7's. And also Stance's on my LGT.

What made me go with the Fortune Auto's over the BC's was that each unit is built to spec and valved to the requested spring rate, they are also supposed to have actual shock dynos available on their website. The larger size of the piston and best of all the 5 year warranty on everything but the shock itself. They offer a roller bearing upgrade which is basically a dimpled ring on the spring that is supposed to remove the occasional spring clunk that happens. And you can upgrade to Swift springs for around $300 which I did not do. All those things put them over the BC's in the cheap but decent $1000 coilover range. I went with the 8k/8k spings.

First impression were quality and general feel they felt nice and beefy. The ride is much better than stock. Stock felt loose and underdamped, over large bumps and ****ty NE roads, it would take too long for the car settle especially at highway speeds. They are currently adjusted in the middle as far as dampning goes and I have not felt the need to change it. Ride quality wise I think its a vast improvement over stock, its feels more balanced, its firmer but better. It will hit a bump and settle right away and does not feel jarring. I have yet to get it realigned as I need to put the wheels on first but it feels sharper. So far I have put on about 500+ miles on them, both city and highway, rough and smooth roads and currently have zero complaints. Everyone else who has driven it or rode in has commented on how much better the car rides and feels. And its currently fairly low with a finger gap all around.

Thanks to Joe at JPM...my control unit for the JBL MS-8 is mounted for good. It looks great and fits perfectly.

Also...if anyone wants my exact upper dash setup...let me know. We are planning on doing something a little bit different with mine...so I'll be listing the one in my car for sale.

It's a Prosport Halo series. Next time just try to quote the pic that you want to talk about, not all of them.

LOL, oh man, and here I was thinking before I posted fingers crossed " I really really hope xluben approves of the said "upgrades". But then I got a numbered list of reasons why he doesn't, he even put "upgrades" in quotes to be even more deamening wahh

I shall also reply back with my opinion in a numbered format.

1.I like yellow fog lights, fog lights are yellow. I made mine even more yellow =

2.Picture of coilovers is how they came out of the box, they were raised upon installation, travel is untouched. Yes that is precisly 1mm of travel, another fun fact is my dick is apparently 152.4mm long =

You sir are the first person I've ever heard who has called SSR Professors ugly. It simply did not compute.

But you have your opinion, and I'mma let you finish but I think SSR Professors are one of the best looking wheels of all time ~ Kanye.

I even had them on my LGT in 18s, thats how much I liked them "upgrades".

Scroll down slow though, it also had similiar "upgrades" , terrible professors, yellow fogs and 0mm of travel.

But other people on the internets liked it though.
http://www.canibeat.com/2010/03/its-a-small-world/

No worries though, I'm glad we had a chance to discuss numbered opinions on the internets.

I'm on the fence about SSR Professors, but they are certainly better than 2012 stock wheels

Discussing opinions on the internet is serious business. But thank you for caring.

Agreed on both counts. Stock 2012 wheels are very ugly. I dont know how well the Professors will look on this specific car, a part of me thinks they will look good, the other part thinks they might look out of place.

I'm not calling you names. I'm just saying that that's how you're acting.

And what are you talking about with the lessons comment?

Default Happy Time

So excited I have Titanium Chrome Grids in 18x9.5" +38 with a 245/40R18 coming for my baby. At first I thought I would want to cover up the chrome on the car but I think the Titanium Chrome on the OBP will pop quite nicely.

LOL, I found it funny that xluben felt the need to share his opinion in a numbered fashion, thus going out of his way to share his opinion and how he really feels. So I restarted my opinion with some meme's and explained why I did the things that I did and why I like them.

What about people who say " oh my exhaust is worth more than his xxr wheels "? Or better yet call themselves self proclaimed trolls/haters?
