Driving down from Boston to XX Tuning Wed for RS3.5 install, anyone want to do lunch?
I talked to craig's brother, forgot his name and he said they would sell me the RS3.5 and install it in my manual '04 WRX sedan for $499.00.
Any advice about accessories, install particulars, etc... I am considering getting my ECU reflashed by Cobb for stage II--I'll bet they try to talk me into TURBOXS EUTEC piggyback--I don't know--a lot of '04s have had difficulties with knock sensors--and/or knocking. Has anybody had a hard time with them? Whit

I got my uppipe and stealthback installed by them and was very pleased with their service. They also tried to talk me into the UTEC when I mentioned I was probably going to get the cobb stage 2 flash. But even so I still ended up going with the cobb flash and am very pleased. To their credit they did offer a good price on the UTEC including tuning it on the dyno, but I'd rather the simplicity of tuning with the cobb reflash.

Yeah, see, that's exactly what I am looking for because I am a daily driver and don't want to have to worry about tuning adjustments. They can try to talk me into it--what kind of deal did they offer you?

I don't remember exactly but it was a pretty good price on the UTEC and then they offered a deal for a couple hundred of something for I think 3 dyno pulls and tuning the UTEC. I'm not sure exactly so don't quote me on that as it was awhile ago and I really wasn't that interested because I already had my mind made up about the cobb reflash and am very glad I went with it over the UTEC.

Snir's (Mr Blonde) trying to talk me into the UTEC now--no way--see, the way I look at it the reflash from Cobb will provided a deterant for me when I want to add more mods, so it will save me money in more ways than one--because there is no way that I am sending it back in each time.

Hehe, true. Well that and the fact that they still don't seem to have any maps beyond the stage 2 yet and who knows how long it'll be like that. Unless you feel like driving out to Utah for a custom tuned map - not for me. Oh well, I imagine someday they'll have some new maps, but for now it's a good influence on me not to add a new turbo or anything else for awhile.
