I know and understand what the guru's are saying, but if your a n00b there needs to be a way for them to learn about their cars from real people other than being bashed and trooollolololed here on nasioc or even worse over on iwsti.
If new comers are interested in learning, they need to see and meet knowledgeable car enthusiasts so we DON'T have people running around in 2.5i's with mismounted STI wings sayin, "I haz vtech YO!" Granted, there are stupid people that drive and proly shouldn't but if they are trying to be a part of something the first step can't be to be complete ass hats. Invite them to meets and if they don't fit in, they won't return. If n00bs post and ask where they can race, the magic 8 ball says BAN I have had my share of getting trolled here when I started and created 8 threads about the same damn thing and didn't know why ppl were being negative. Now I know lol I started a closed facebook page that has had over 100 people quite a few times (being cut down every now and again by yours truly). Everyone on the page is either a close friend or an acquaintance of mine and it works very well with communication and keeps useless conversation off nasioc. If you are interested in meeting up and you are new to the area, don't know **** about subaru's or your mother let you out of the basement, pm me or follow my thread. If you can't find it, use the "search" feature. There are all kinds of people that attend and i'm sure you will feel welcome. |
