Hey, ive seen the car on here a lot but decided to go through your page.. really impressed.

I did notice that you used the VHT copper & clar for your calipers. Do you have any problems with brake dust sticking? I have the same exact paint on mine. See last page for reference.

So, a little update on a slight problem I ran into over the past few months.

I've noticed a little oil on my heat shield over the past few months but I didn't pay much attention to it as I'm not burning any oil nor leaking any either.

The car has been sitting all summer but I had to move it out of the garage yesterday and notice that there was a little oil on the floor.
I pulled the intercooler off and heat shield to investigate as I thought the turbo may be the culprit.

In the disassembly process, I noticed oil on the bottom of my Process West intercooler. Under the heat shield was clean so the oil was coming from above.
Taking a closer look, it seems that there is a pinhole in the intercooler. It's in the low spot of the intercooler so over time, oil in the intake run must have built up and pooled right where the hole is. It's been leaking for a while but I have never paid any attention to it until it started leaking onto the ground.

I've contacted Process West and no questions asked, they have agreed to fix it or replace it.

Here is the intercooler. It's off the car now and I will be shipping it out this upcoming week. I'll be running the stock intercooler in the meantime.

Jason that's coming from right above the turbo right? When I take my intercooler off to work on the car there is usually oil on the bolt that holds it to the bracket right above the turbo

Good to see you found the issue before it got worse! Even better is its getting fixed with hopefully minimal cost to you!

sucks that it happened but good to know there is solid customer service to back up the product. Are you shipping to AUS? Did they say how long on turn around? Hopefully they have a replacement in the US for you already.

My PW goes on in a few weeks, i'll make sure i keep an eye out for this.

Sorry to hear about the process west. I just installed the black top mount on my wrx a few weeks ago. I'll be keeping an eye out as well.

Got great news from Process west over the weekend. They realized that I was in the US and instead of having me ship my intercooler to them for inspection, they are just going to ship me a new core.

What an awesome response form them, I'm really proud that I went with them as a company. The issue with the intercooler was a disappointment but to fully replace after 3 years of use is unheard of. I'm really excited about that.

Happy Monday

Wow that's awesome and makes me feel even better about my purchase as well. Now I wonder if you could fix the old core locally?
