congrats on the arrival - i know that feeling and you're gonna love what it does once tuned. my 7064 was fun, bet this will be a riot, i'm counting on it! |

wow, this thing has really come along way since the drags in 08-09 when I seen it, or was that a different car you had? Mine is about to be together again here shortly once I get my longblock back from keegan engineering (mike keegan who used to do some cool work with the formula race team over at cosworth and did stuff in their head department, and helped build esx's 1200hp ej25 car if Im not mistaken,

OK so I had a couple of issue that needed cleared up after the turbo arrived. The WG bracket they shipped with the turbo was not the Subaru specific one so I couldn't mount the WG actuator to the turbo. The hotside intercooler piping that came with the Full Race FMIC kit also had issues and wasn't going to work without some modification. Too bad for me that I already had those pipes powder coated red to match everything else... Oh well.
A new WG bracket showed up on Saturday and in order to fit that I had to tap the WG actuator shaft down about an inch and a half lower to allow me to put preload on the WG. Instead of sending the IC pipes back to FR for modification and possibly doing the back and forth thing until the pipes were right I send the hotside pipes back for a refund and will have a local shop fab up the rest for me. Today, once I get some more 1/2" push lok hose I plan on finishing the oil drain line, filling her with fluids, and starting this damn thing. Since I don't have the hotside IC pipes done yet I'll be starting it N/A but I need to to check out and calibrate some things with my standalone before I take it to my tuner/fab guy. In short, this beeyatch will be running by this weekend and hopefully in the shop getting IC pipes, an intake, and tuned. Last edited by kellygnsd; 12-18-2012 at 04:38 PM. |

I'm going to wait for my LR motor before i push this turbo hard and would be happy with 450 whp. Its going to take some time to get everything on the Link is sorted out and safe then I'll put in the good motor and flog it.

Junior just tuned my MPS 2.5 LR yesterday afternoon It's a frickin smooth running motor and we made 440 WHP on pump and 540 WHP on E85 without much added timing and 26 psi with my blouch 3.5xtr. Good to see some progress again on your build!! |

The lack on intercooler piping will probably prevent me from getting the car on the road by new year like I had hoped. Come January it will be a year of my car on jack stands |

I am sorry to hear about the IC piping troubles what a drag! It will feel good to get that behind you and start tuning the build and dialing in the Link! Good luck with the remaining work! Last edited by manitou; 12-19-2012 at 10:17 AM. |

You know what's really cool is that you are so close to me (I'm in corona) and both of our cars have 2.34's + they both should be running in the next month. Very excited to compare the two cars at a club meet of sorts. Also who dose your tuning, FSR?

That's where I will do my 5th and 6th gear pulls ( so I can tune for Texas mile).

Yeah I'm getting tuned at FSR. It probably won't be before the new year with the holidays and I'm scheduled for elbos surger January 7th so my plans may be messed up once again. What local meets do you hit? |

Right now I don't hit any meets because my car is not up right now, but it will be the rancho meet on wensdays and the Mitsu/Subaru monthly meets in eastvale. Outside of that... The track.
Did you or are going to relocate your fuse box? Did you rebuild your under manifold engine harness? |

IT'S ALIVE... ALIVE. I did the initial start today and cam re-break-in on the Link. Everything went pretty well and I got it to start and idle somewhat well but since I'm not really a tuner I'll leave the rest to the professionals. I found two coolant leaks that I need to fix but other than that everything was pretty much on point. FSR won't be able to get me in until after the new year so I'm going to set my new target date to have my car on the street to February 1st. It definitely sounds different with the Full-Race equal length headers. Still mean as **** with the cam lope at idle but different and not as mean an unequal length. I'll try and get some video once I get the leaks fixed.

I hacked up my engine harness a little bit wiring in most of my external sensors through it but I haven't completely dissected it. Quote:
