I think he's talking about the air compressors in the back.
Great job on the car, man. The engine bay alone is commendable. |

The red bottle? Thats what i thought was a fire ext. Is that a gas bottle for the air jacks? If so thats crazy. Why would a "race car" carry around that much weight for air jacks?

The bottle on the right side is for Nitrous. Nitrous Express is one my sponsors so it's there, but never been used. The bottle on the left (among other things there) powers the airjacks. I get 4-5 lifts per fill on compressed nitrogen. It started life as an NX bottle but has been substantially modified to work for this system. Nah, just precautionary... it's a rented garage! Quote:
and yeah, Andrew and the crew definitely made it happen for me! Quote:
A 'race car' wouldn't, you're right. But, it's not a 'race car' Besides, they can be removed in about 3 minutes, and the airjacks are still usable via external tank. The airjacks themselves weigh less than 1lb. each. There is a SpA electronic fire supression tank mounted in the truck back behind all the fuel stuff and the battery. Hard to see in pics though, it's usually blocked by the dry break filler. |

So what is this car? A show car? When did cages become show spec?
I love the airjacks. Just seems really pointless having the bottles inside the car to run them. But i 'spose most show cars are. Not having ago just hard to work out what this car is being. Being from aus we dont do shows like the us. |
