The matte black definitely toughens up the front end nicely.

Don't have a picture of the 08, but here's two of the diesel in matte orange. Turned out pretty swell.

I love this stuff! Its the DIYer's dream paint. Hardly any prep time, hardly any masking, comes of your paint easy and looks great. I recently did my badges and the key hole on the hatch of my 2002 WRx wagon.

How does it hold up on the trunk lock-cylinder?

Thanks mate.

Only problem with is was we ran out of plastidip, so it was way to thin on the sides, which caused it to rift after just a month. (Problems with new delivery)

We are contemplating opening a business doing this here in Norway, just going through the test phases with the product. We are anxious to see how it goes with the varying climate as way as road salt that is used in the cities during winter.

Are you asking because you want to know how the grey will look or what? can u please elaborate for us?

glossifier..thats on you man. not that its bad or anything like that. if you want a shiny finish, thats the best way to go. if you dont like it, peel it off and start over. good luck!

Default plastidipped

I used 2 full spray cans and half that I had left over from dipping the emblems... so approximately it covered 4 coats for the 4 rims.. it might need the other half for touch ups.

I still cant post pictures!!

here's the link anyway:

I bought 4 cans, and I'm sure I have 1/2-1/3 can left out of each of them (I used one can per wheel). So I could have got by with a little more than 2 cans total.

And I'm not sure how in the heck someone can use half a can for 4 coats! I did about 12 light coats for each half can that I used, I was paranoid of paint drips/runs.

I used 4. I put about 6 layers. The first layer should be light. By the 3rd layer, that is when it will start to look about right. If you mess it up, peel it off and start over.

Well, first off I would test the product on something smaller than your car... Also, watch the movies made by Fonzie at dipyourcar.com

I did my old motorcycle helmet the first time around.

Default dipping Emblems made easy

Emblems are pretty straight forward.. just put some masking tape around the emblems about 1 inch from it and just spray away...wait about 5 to 10 mins in between coats depending on the outside temp..

There's tons of video on you tube.. but here a some tips....

Tip 1: it would be better to spray it on thick about 4 coats, since it would be easier to peel away the over spray and clean up..

Tip 2: for peeling off and cleaning up the over spray inside the letters/emblems, to get it started, a toothpick will work fine, but I also found out the those wooden Chopsticks works pretty darn good too....either way is fine.

Tip 3: Remember to peel away from the emblems...not towards you!
Good luck!

I'm going to plastidip my emblems and side "WRX" badge thing, but thinking about doing my door handles too. Searched a little bit but couldn't find any pictures of it, so not sure how the handles will look.
