Meth or Alcohol Injection Vs Racegas C16
I have been reading up on Meth/Alcohol Injection but have not found any answers if it is better power wise over straight C16 racegas. Which will make more power? Im not talking around time, im asking at the track which will perform better.
I understand the benefits of the injection by cooling down the intake charge and you can run more boost and timing. But out performance race gas. And what about Meth or Alky with race gas it that the best of both worlds. Has anyone done both setups. Thanks.

Don't go quoting me on this but C16 is better.
93 with a mixture of 50/50 meth distilled only raises the octaine to about 103. Don't remember where I got that from...so take it as you will. |

you dont need c16, its leaded and ruin your o2 sensor fast
something like 110 would work fine and it will more than likely be unleaded which will save your o2 sensor. I dont think alky/meth will out perform race gas but it does have its benifiets like you mentioned. Race gas is just alot more expensive and not easy to get a hold of at certain times when you need it. i have a race gas map right now, and i plan to do meth/alky on top of race gas. |

Pure Methanol is 100 octane (Ron + Mon/2).
A 50/50 mix of methanol + distilled water, sprayed at a 1:5 mix:fuel ratio (20***37; spray) with 93 octane as the fuel is FAR from 103 octane. |

you will make slightly more power on c16 but on my evo it never netted me a better trap speed or et when comparing the two...
|
