Subaru S202 387/400

Some of you may be familiar with this car and the history of 387 and some of you may not. But before there was the s209 hype there was its predecessors. In my opinion the S202 and S203 are the holy grail when it comes to the S line.

Unfortunately the previous owner of this car who happened to be my best friend passed away October of 2019 and I was fortunate enough to of kept the car. I recently pulled her out of storage since I am currently stationed overseas and threw together this video check it out!

Thank you. It’s been a rough 18 months but I’m glad his prices possession was able to stay in a garage that will keep her stock!

The s202 is exceptional. I have had (still have some) 20 Subaru's of every generation with and without modifications and the factory performance and handling of the S202 is mind blowing. Every time I take mine out I can't get over how the factory STI department harmonized all the small adjustments and modifications to make this car handle and feel the way it does. Everything from the factory exhaust tone, seats, steering, brakes (STI lightweight rotors), wheels...when you brake down each component it doesn't seem exceptional. But all together it isn't like any other Subaru (or car) I have owned.

I own an all original S202 #25. Unfortunately I will be selling it to make space and allow someone else to enjoy. It isn't road legal for another 6 years in my province.

If I had the money I would grab it off you! Would love to add to the collection. With the one I have I ended up getting the entire s202 collection he had which is ridiculous. I have a total of 5 number plates along with spare OEN wheels, and 3 tough boxes filled with spares

Not to sure of how prices "should be" on these, especially with a cage, but that seems reasonable?

I'd spend 20k on an s202 in a heart beat. But I'd rather spend 20k on a completely original one

That is what I assumed, however with the price spikes of all these jdm icons (looking at you skyline's) I question everything now.

These cars should be left OEM. They are perfect as they sit. Quick, responsive, balanced, and just fun.

Agree. If Chris sells me his s202 I'd keep it completely OEM. I have a Mitsubishi mr slim mini split with heat pump in my garage so it would stay in a climate controlled environment wether it's summer or winter.

If you are serious I am open to serious offers. The S202 at JDM racing motors is a good price, just isn't original (oil cooler is relocated, under tray is missing, zero sports rear bumper, cage, missing intake duct...etc).

Actually, I was going to post the car on BAT seeing as it is a specific model that probably won't get too much attention locally. I'm just waiting for a nice day to take pictures of the undercarriage.

I've been following a lot of auctions on BAT looking for a wrb gd sti or wrx and i cant find the original listing but in the comments section there's something on BAT called the "canadian curse" (lol) which keeps the bids very low on canadian to American sales. You're actually better off trying to get a local sale.

Here's an 05 Sti that sold for $40,000 from Canada to Canada https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...za-wrx-sti-37/ but then you have this gc8 sti that didn't make it past 4k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-subaru-impreza/ because no one wants to deal with the import laws .

You should def put it up on BAT first because I'd be really interested to see what kind of attention it gets. And for the record, I'd be buying to keep it and not resell. Rtv is just a troll who's mother didn't hug him enough when he was a child.
