how big is kapolei in comparison to a state on the mainland? population? is unemplyment high? subaru dealership?
LOL

can't do the 140 cause of speed bumps and one way roads that have traffic. Though I wish I could

Kapolei is a city on the island of Oahu. No idea on the size comparison and population cause it constantly fluctuates. Unemployment is about average but I wouldn't say it's high. There are two Subaru dealerships on this island.

yes, they are the same... like you were saying they look bigger than normal due to how far out they sit in the prodrive front end. on a different subject, how was the fitment of your HTAutos lip? a struggle to get on?

Hey, I am looking to purchase a 2002 "Bug Eye WRX". Theres one for sale locally will 120 000km and its $10900. I'm wondering if you guys think thats way more then it's worth or a fair price.

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Hatchback/Wagon

- 5 spd manual, 2.0L Turbo (227 horsepower), all wheel drive, silver exterior, black interior.
- 76,000 miles (~120,000 kms).
- Power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, 6-disk CD player.
- Cruise, tilt, driver & passenger airbags.
- Factory keyless entry. Additional immobilizer key system.
- Nice seats, factory MOMO leather steering wheel and shift knob.
- New windshield.
- Upgraded clutch.
- Timing belt, tranny fluid, and diff fluid was done at 70,000 miles (~110,000 kms).
- 3" COBB stainless steel performance exhaust system (full system, downpipe to muffler).
- Two sets of tires: original rims with winters, rare 17" JDM WRX rims with summers.

$10,900
Additionally i'm wondering if the Exhaust system could cause me problems later on because it was not properly tuned. Also could the new clutch mean high RPM clutch dumps weakening the gears?
Thanks,
Matt

I bought mine last year, it's not clean (but all issues have been minor) and had the CEL on. Paid 5500, they wanted 7k but they (used dealer) planed on fixing it first. It runs great, has 130k, the main issues I haven't fixed yet are minor cosmetic. Gear box is a little worn, linkage may need adjustment. I've spent just over 1500 but mechanical just a few hundred, rims and tires were 1k.

Problems to look at, axle boots (minor fix), oil leaks, my boots were part of mech I had fixed and grease got everywhere (80% clean). Sounds are key too, if you don't know what to listen for take someone who knows. Honestly it could be worth 10k if it's well detailed and painted/garage kept, and receipts, no body or mech damage/accident history. Miles are around average, but I think high for the price.

What sort of sounds? Are they Subaru specific?

Bad sounds, mechanical, all cars make different and similar noises, but the obvious noises that shouldn't be there. Rocks in a tumbler, don't be confused by rumble it has an exhaust.
