Yep. Years of running the ACT Extreme PP can have this effect! Have also seen the pivot ball break, or the throw out bearing give up.

The whole hanging something from the rear of your car?

According to a documentary I was watching, it signals that you're down to race to other drivers.

Hmmm.... I should invest in a toy to hang... First to 150MPH on the ice!!!!

I should look for a stuffed Scion FR-S toy or something. haha

I'll just put a loop hook through one of these:

http://www.scionmania.com/Toys.asp?ScionModel=FR-S

and then hang it from... somewhere?

Lol if it's not plush it would be destroyed.

One of the first times someone tried to race me, or that I noticed something hanging from the bumper, was a really loud orange RSX in Fairbanks.

I don't think replacement LEDs would be a good idea for high beams, unless you're just using them for the drls.

You can get good HIDs for around $120.

I've got all my LEDs for my BRZ from these guys. Legit stuff and worth the price.

Not from reviews I've read. You could find something cheaper on eBay, but no guarantee to its quality with no real reputation. That's why I recommended these guys because I ALMOST purchased their HID kit for my fogs. My DRLs are already 35W HIDs.

Modding H9 bulbs to fit made a huge improvement in my Mom's 2010 at the expense of a little longevity. They are only 10 more watts than the H11s so there isn't any worry of melting wiring or headlight housings. LEDs for highbeams won't be bright enough unless you run the highbeam leads to a pair of lightbars like the ones from Rigid Industries.

The way I feel about the whole HiD lighting system thing, it is all total garbage for those expensive P-n-P kits. Theyre all the same imo. dont give an F***s for these "quality" "wawa-warranty". They are all the same. Your going to have bright frickin lights that glare the crap out of everyone. Paying over $80 for a PnP kit is in my opinion, stupid. Unless these $100kits magically provide Projector HID system results, then theyre not worth it.

Either buy the cheap $50kits or get yourself the real stuff from The Retrofit Source.

And the whole hanging from the tow hook deal... i remember back when Drifting started to get big, some drifters had "drift charms" hanging from their tow hook. Little key chain ornaments, then people took that and put their own twist, like oversized dolls etc.

I always hung a Fresh Scent Tree from my tow hook, in my eyes, it resembled "Fresh". Always kept my car clean and fresh.
