Thanks for the feedback! By tipped do you mean the ports on the injector housing (tgv housing for lack of a better term) tipped towards the crankshaft a few degrees?

It takes me awhile to set those up (i hate it) so Ill hold off till Im really close and start testing various serups. Ive got a slab of aluminum sitting here waiting for me to start machining on it. Ive been busy getting my bugeye project finished. Once that thing is finally done Ill get to work on the intake. Car goes to the tuner in 2 weeks!

be interesting to make a "dual plane" intake for the subaru so that only the cylinders 180* out from eachother (one left, one right) draw from a common plenum.

maybe complicated on the turbo models, but there's just so much damn space under the hood of an NA subaru that you could fit such a thing no problem.
Ej25 fires front back front back (alternating L/R) so you just pair the front cylinders together and the back cylinders together. make a plenum box with a horizontal splitter inside to make two chambers, top for rear cylinders, bottom for front cylinders. recess the front runner ends a little bit into the plenum to make the runners all roughly equal length. probably necessary to turn the TB 90 degrees so the throttle shaft is vertical, so as not to favor one "chamber" over another at part throttle. as to making custom intakes, if the bolt pattern matches up there's no reason not to use a ported TGV-delete base and attach your custom runners to that. way simplifies fabrication. |

Look into the Dual plenum intake manifolds that audi used on their group b cars. If you have a "central" plenum with two slots i it (one for either bank) it will even out the flow and pressure very nicely. Make sure the throttle body opening and the slots take up the same amount of area however.
I've run CFD on a couple different manifold designs incorporating this and it helps equalize flow to each runner immensely. |

What do you think something similar to the new wrx plastic manifold with the outlet from the bottom but centered. Then having the four runners tipped back (like Chris' great suggestion) but also more outward/forward-rearward (compound curve) closer to an X design than an H. If you could raise the plenum high enough, the lower outlet angle would be less drastic than oem. |

Meh, not doing public pics. Working to have some test models out to tuners I know/trust within the next month. 3D printing all these parts at home is taking forever. I miss the big SLA and SLS machines I used to use.
You might have some luck looking up the intake manifold from the Turn In Concepts Time Attack car from 2011/2012. |
