I will never go to another touchless wash EVER AGAIN! I took my leggy through one here on base and I noticed the swirl marks in the paint right off the bat. And they were considerable on obp.

Lol I figured that wouldn't be an issue.

You can crack the window about an inch and have it still covered by the guard. I snapped a pic but I'm on my phone, I'll post when I get home.

Oh man, I would never. I'll do an occassional touchless drive thru but even then I'm caution about the harshness of the soaps (call me overly paranoid) Time to bust out the polisher

Our touchless wash costs $14 for the top-level wash. For that price I can take it to a bay and get a much more even wash. If I pay double then my car is 3x cleaner than touchless. When I use the bay with a blow dryer I spend $30 easy. Car looks gooooood though.

I have an unlimited cad wash pass for the local gas station. I go through several times a week. My car has surely seen over 100 times through the touch less car wash. Oh well.

Had AZP install my KW V1's and whiteline sways, must say I'm extremely happy with the results. The ride is more definitive if that makes any sense. You know where the car is on the road and you can feel the conditions through the steering wheel now, but there's no jarring or bouncing over large bumps or potholes. There seems to be much more damping resistance to bottoming which really helps the car feel in control. Waiting about a week for the springs to settle then work on dialing in the ride height and alignment. Here are a few pics for now, ideally I'd like to drop the front just a bit more to give it some minor rake.

Blah Blah Blah...pics!

sean take the red stripe off the grill, doesn't go with anything on the car. now that it's dropped the wheels look ten times better.

for the v1's you re-used the stock top hats right?

and azp ftmfw.

Haha I swear I was thinking the same thing just a few minutes ago. It went with the darker wheels much better but now it's taking away from the overall theme. I'm blacking out the window trim as well and have some light smoked treble vinyl covers for the reverse lights which I may or may not put in. A front lip and taking off the plate may also happen. Thanks for the compliment, we'll have to take some pics at the sandy hook meet. Your car looks great on the new color, perfect contrast. And yes they reused the stock top hats, we'll see how the alignment works out but I think it should be ok.

doesn't sound like you went to a touchless wash. touchless uses a high pressure spray and probably concentrated soap. besides water, nothing else touches the car so there almost no chance of marring.

lol i mainly use the touchless wash for the blow dry after. our self wash bay's here don't have driers. that may be the only + of AK

Had enough light to go outside and throw on the shift knob from WC Lathe Werks. Finish is real nice and I'm really happy with the product. The yellow hue is from the setting sun- I'll take a better picture when the lighting is better.

Haha, it's being anal as could be!!
Naaa, it's not bad at all. Alcantara is extremely tough material, stain resistant and cleans off with a vacuum like carpet.
I just bought the material and did it all myself. I'm working piece by piece but just about to do the dash next!!!

Dude write up a DIY and take some pictures in the process, I would like to see how this is done in case I decide to pick up a 2012 STi.

Yeah, hahaha how did you pull that off at the dealer? That would have been my choice instead of having the dealer monkeys prep my car!
