What makes my car hard to start sometimes?
Sometimes I just drive around in a normal speed, run in to a store come out, trun the start, the thing cranks over well, but it won't start. I get this once in a while. It's been happening ever so often since I got the car, now I have stage 2 cobb and it's still the same thing. My battery is stock, but the thing cranks over very well. My car is parked in a heated garage. Has 48k on it. I crank it over the second time with the gas pedal push, then it fires up.

It's fairly new, about 5k back it was replaced. Wondering if something like the pcv valve may be a culprit?

When you start the car, do you turn the key to the ON position for a second or two before starting? Or do you just turn the key straight to start?? I believe the fuel pump needs a moment to charge the line, I think I had read this here on Nasioc somewhere, you can hear it stop charging, after a second or two when the key is in the on selection. Not sure if this helps... dm |

I'll give that a try. Kinda weird though, since when my car sits for a day, it starts fine, but drive it and stop, that's when it does this.

That thread talks about it hard to turn over. Mines turns over fine, but it just does not fire up. But I am doing the 2-3 second thing now, and I'll see if it happens again.
