I don't think my last post spoiled anything.

Wouldn't the book thread be pretty useless for everyone that is not on the latest book? Unlike the show, many people will be on book 5 while others are in book 2.

I have read all five books, would you like me to PM you what happens in the rest of book three? This argument has already been had. If it has not happened on the television show, it doesn't get a mention in the thread.

We're good. I've also read all five now (last year I was only partway through 1) so I'm in full control on spoilers

quentin didn't get any points. It wasn't very spoiler-y. But it WAS **** we're likely to see in 3, and for the sake of simplicity we've drawn a line in the sand.

I'm in full support of Rogue pointing all you bastards who refuse to respect the fact that some are still reading the books.

I don't think book 3 (season 3) is as predictable as you might think.

You united fans are real moaners.

I posted "****ing *name*", IIRC. What a spoiler! Definitely on par with PMing actual spoilers.

Rogue handled it fine. If you all really want me pointed, so be it. IDGAF.

Also: quentin, if I were to choose a single word to have the maximum spoiler potential for this season, it'd be hard to top the one you chose.

A girl only needs to say a name, any name, and the man will take care of the rest.

I don't get it. They're not following the book exactly.

They're hitting the highlights of the books, and arriving at the same end points, just trimming a lot of the fluff.

I was pretty excited about the upcoming season until this morning. ****ing Reddit! I was just browsing around and saw "my favorite quote by Tyrion" and looked at the comments and some ******* posted a few huge spoilers in there that I didn't realize until after I read them in my half awake browsing.

Reddit: The site is junk and full of spoilers.

Theyve already thrown some book gems in the trash can. With this story, grrm will never finish it, so the hbo writers can probably do whatever they want

Im sure itll still be good. But I wouldn't get my expectations too high for certain events

Uh... they've been damn close for S1 and S2.

The tail end of book 2 is going into S3.

I agree, they trimmed fluff. They combined some arcs and moved a few things around, but I don't think they missed much. Arya's time at Harrenhal was the biggest change and I thought that was handled well.

House of the undying was a pretty drastic change. Lots of big waves there imo

I'm glad that the recognized that book 3 warrants two seasons. It was definitely the most pivotal of the five books. So much happens.

*shrug*

Some plot exposition that will undoubtedly be coming in S3. They don't want to drop a bunch of hints into the end of S2 and then make everyone wait a year, I bet.

It was different, I grant you, but thinking back I don't know that anything of serious value was lost.
