This thread has been a big help to me throughout my build. I'd like to thank everyone who has posted in here. While rotating this 2.5i manifold has been the hardest part of the entire build, it's also the most satisfying. Every bit of work you see in there has been done by me. I built the engine, shaved the manifold, painted everything, etc. With the exception of the rotated kit and intercooler tubing (header, up,dp,exhaust), fabbing up a spacer so the TB could clear the hood, and some misc machine work which was all done by my friend Elijah at Nocturnal Welding. I think I encountered every issue possible along the way. I managed to get the IAG Rails to fit with the Dampers on them, and got the manifold to clear the hood with 8mm spacers (some cutting required). I'll be happy to answer any questions anybody has.

I need something that makes the belt dip in the middle to clear the piping, GCs don't have a lot of space under the hood...

I know IAG makes one, but I was unable to find any decent photos of the install, plus their website doesn't go into details about what kind of modifications need to be done on the alternator bracket

Well one option you have would be to build your own bracket that moves the alternator forward to use its own belt off the crank like the a/c did before. Or buy one and adapt it to do so.

As for pictures I posted my setup a few pages back with the outfront option.

I have my iag one sitting in a box about to install it, There is one user on instagram I found who has it. Trying to see if I still have the photos that he sent me of it setup. I believe you just flip the alternator upside down, use the supplied bracket and reuse the adjusting bolt\nut.

Quick mockup makes it seem like the avcs solenoids sit close to the rails. Anyone else run 3mm spacers or is it just my setup that is the close clearance?

I had to cut a small section of the supports out of the hood. Cutting wheel on the angle grinder, and a steady hand. Took out the insulation too, obviously.

thinking i might give my 2.5i intake a go now. Mostly for the 1% airflow variance across the runners

I was down at ASF machine a week or two ago. Joe had a 2.5i intake that he cut the top down a bit & rewelded it. It was pretty sweet.

Said it was for a reverse setup.

Mine will be facing back, hopefully any modding of the hood will be minor (if needed). I really don't want to chop into the aluminum hood, and it's a 95 so likely less room than the 02+.
