Why would you have a problem if using a newer ECU? Are you talking about just the splicing and soldering of the harness?

Click the submit button about 3 times fewer.

You could have a problem using a newer ecu and an older tranny because the signal must be tapped off the gauge cluster. While both ECU's expect a 0-5v signal, I am not sure if the pulses are the same between sensors.
