Will a WRX "ver. 6" UTEC work on an 04 STi?

I stumbled across a for sale post today stating that a guy is selling his Ver. 6 UTEC and that it works for both WRX, and STi. The first thing I could think of was "this guy isn't right, the WRX UTEC won't work on an STi".

Then it hit me. On the off chance it does work on an STi, I would be laughing, since I have a Ver6 UTEC, and an STi.

Can anyone shine some light on this subject?

revision 6 utec no it will not work on an sti
ver 6 is a totaly differnt animal 2000-2001 ej207 gc8

wrx utec = wrx ecu only
sti utec = sti ecu only
