So a quick question for anarekist, is run 3 also on 18.5 psi? (I may not understand how a dual gas tune works so that’s why I am asking if the question is an obvious yes. Lol.)

I am wondering because I am single fuel e tuned by Ron on 91oct too with same mods but with 20psi+ boost, so I’m trying to gauge what my whp would be.

the runs are backwards i guess. he first did the 91 tune then did the e50 tune. rons said max boost will move around according to the weather, etc. i hit 19/20 on warmer days, been cold lately so most it will do is 18psi at the moment.

with cobb flexfuel sensor it reads your ethanol content of your fuel. so ron sets the max timing it will ever have on my car, and that's on e50. so basically there's a flex fuel table that will tell it how much fueling to do per ethanol content and the timing etc. not too familiar to be honest.

i think you will have around the same HP.

i've looked at the other dynos and ist more or less the same. he said most people with my mods get 280 on 91oct and i might be able to do something to get rid of the HP slump in the 4500k-5500k range maybe with an intake and going catless, ooooor new turbo . but im not worried right now im pretty satisfied.

My car moves really nicely, I’m impressed. Now I will just have to wait and see how it will behave in high Arizona temps. To me really a larger intercooler was a necessity as well as performance add on, at least that was the excuse.

Um, I'd find another tuner, or you have a mechanical issue (exhaust leak, inlet choke, something). A 2.5, especially with AVCS, with a VF39 should never be that laggy.

Shoot, pretty sure my old EJ205 with a VF39 had a quicker spool than that.

Tune is solid...been on that same tune for a short of a decade with zero issues. In all honesty I would be more inclined to that dyno being off as the shop just moved and they recalibrated from when it was at the old shop. Hell, maybe it's due to having a small turbo on a huge fmic. Maybe even it's because the engine and the turbo both have 130K+ miles on them. Who knows...I know I still daily drive the car without worries on it blowing up.

Yep, my 2.0L with a VF39 hit full boost (18psi) at 3800 rpm on a mustang dyno with the typical supporting mods

Really though it would do better than that. I never got to do a baseline but figured it was close to 250.

Thanks. FYI Taylor over there was great to work with. I'm in Central Phoenix near 51 and Glendale Ave and it's the Dark Grey Metallic (looks great with the Performance package wheels!).
