How much power should I expect?
I'm building a stock pile for when I return from a year long deployment in a month or two and I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but can't seem to find very many if any threads with the mods I intend on doing to my car. Right now it's a stock 2003 wrx. The plans:
-Invidia catted downpipe -Blitz cbe -Grimmspeed up pipe (coated) w/ tial 38mm EWG -Invidia Race Equal Length headers (coated) -grimmspeed ebcs -gimmick turbo inlet I'm sure people will flame for the setup too, but hey it's my car. I have 115k on the car so I expect sooner or later I'll need to replace the turbo so would like to do a vf39 swap eventually. Also please don't say ask your tuner, I don't know where I'm going for a tune yet I am just looking for a general ballpark idea. Thanks ahead of time for the replies guys

And this is for you...........
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=718033 It is pointless to ask due to the amount of variables involved. Get the car tuned and put it on a dyno. Then you will know. |

Ok thanks! Sorry never read that before. I was just curious because I don't want to get my hopes up expecting a big difference for the next few months to go home and be very disappointed. |

Peak numbers mean nothing. It's the before and after power curve that does. I could run the same car on two different dynos and have a 30-50 whp difference. People get to wrapped up in numbers when they don't understand all the variables involved. Ambient temps, altitude, humidity, correction factor, dyno type, mechanical state of motor, quality of tune,ect........
