I must say that I'm wondering how the suspension is going to work on this. Thinking roll centers, scrub radius, camber gains, anti-dive/lift/squat percentages, etc...
don't know how much of that design work he did. Still anxious to see this thing get going!!

I'm still waiting to see what that thing is like and what they do for suspension...
what's the point of a light and powerful car if it doesn't 'stick' and handle? |

The builder shared all of his calculations with me when I visited him. The biggest thing I am worried about is the shocks (Yamaha R1s). I plan on autocrossing and running time trials with this thing. For me its all about the handling.

One of the other things to remember is this is using Pontiac Solstice control arms and uprights. It is nice that it has OEM parts.

I hear you. I am an electrical engineer. The builder has a background in racing and has built numerous porsche race cars.

It's KILLING Erik and me! We, as much as the owners of MMW, really want to get our cars too!
I want to see just how well these cars handle. My hope is that it will out handle and accelerate anything I have (or have had), which includes a couple of S2000's, a Viper and a pro-touring 68 Camaro. |

Well...the header is underway, the FP Evo White with 84mm comp cover is being setup in Tx and your other misc parts are being packaged and ready for you. I'll keep you posted and we're very happy to be a part of this project!

I also stopped in All Pro yesterday and briefly spoke to Brandon. He's slammed with a ton of vehicles in his shop and as such hasn't even touched my engine . . . yet. It is still on the pallet from Oregon and not on any sort of engine stand. Brandon will clean it up, do the TGV delete and install a block off plate before I have him ship the engine to the MMW shop in KY. Ryan will ship the twin scroll package along with the other items to MMW in KY as well. This should all take place sometime in March to dovetail when my chassis begins its turn on the build table. Once all is complete from MMW, I will pick up the car and take it to Brandon for him to sort out the factory ECU. Then, with the base map provided through Ryan at Moore Performance and their local tuner, the car will be driven around the corner to TopSpeed for final dyno tuning. The hope and projection is that the car will be completed and ready to roll sometime in May. That's not positive, just the goal or game plan. |

Here is a shot or two of the layout for the interior aluminum on the type 4 prototype, The Suby version will be a bit different at the rear firewall but still close.
I have run the numbers over and over again on the suspension, in fact I started with the suspension and designed the car around it (that's why the odd upper control arm mounts) It has identical front to rear suspension geometry, RC, IRC, camber gains, ackerman on the front etc... The only thing I could not be sure about was how heavy the steering would feel, We use the steering rack from a Porsche 911 so I made the caster adjustable from 3 to 9 degrees (better safe than sorry)...LOL PooK |

Thanks PooK! I can't wait to see that thing next week! I'm just going to force EKU to buy something for my travel justification.

I'm game!
My frame will be powder coated satin black. Then I plan to have you wrap the side pods and hood in Camaro Synergy Green (found it on the link you'd sent me), with maybe a cf wrap on the inset portion of the hood. We'll discuss in a few days when I come up there. I also got confirmation that my best friend says GO on his TR-42!!! Another pile of cash is soon to be set a blaze! |

Been following this one for a while, and it's just jaw-dropping awesome. Figured I'd chime in with this: http://uscomposites.com/hybrids.html for all your carbon/kevlar cloth needs. Their site looks sketchy as hell, but they ship quick and pricing seems fair. I'm looking forward to seeing how this project comes out!!

Thanks! I want to do my car (If I ever get time) in their orange/black hybrid.
Here is a few updated interior pics. My Partner chose the silver screws because he likes the visible hardware look PooK |

She's a roller plus and yes I know the little T4 is old and antiquated but you have to admit those Webers look cool!
Its an old mock up motor... PooK Although this would have the same effect and run better... |
