2004 Mazdaspeed with Flyin' Miata Catback and Enkei RP-F1's.

It was a phenomenal car.

So I'm a little late to the party here but I just stumbled across this thread. I currently have a 2011 WRX Sedan but I actually traded in my 2004 Titanium Gray Mazdaspeed MX-5 to get it! I miss that car so much!

I had the FM Full Intake Kit on it (Intake, piping, bypass valve, MBC, O2 mod, etc), an FM downpipe and the FM exhaust. I also had H&R springs, and sways on the car. WOW! What a car! If I didn't live in MD where we get all 4 seasons, including a lot of snow in winter lately, I would still have it. It was just an absolute blast!

Fixed kit? How? I've only seen the "half up" kits they sell at Moss... and that seems like it's going to drag down my gas mileage and create drag too.

It's almost a moot point, anyway.... I only drive the Miata during the day anyway.

Nah, my buddy kaboomed his 3rd motor with engine internal, cooling and low boost on his track NA. I don't mind it being slow as a daily, but being slow on track is just no fun.

It would seem yore buddy has no clue.

My '95 w/ FM2 and Link was not slow, nor was it ever unreliable. 14 PSI, not low, but not high. It was enough to keep C5s in my sights.......and it still was an occasional DD.

My 94 LE is boosted with the Jackson Racing setup. I'd say it is maybe a little stronger to 100 than a stock 02 WRX. 10 pound pulley and water methanol injection, I can dial back the timing if I want to skip the methanol.

Worth the price of admission for sure.

FM II Hydra turbo kit. What better way to spend more than the cost of the car? You double the horsepower, so technically, it's a good buy.

I'd run out and buy an NA Miata today if I had somewhere to park it, and my wife would let me.
