Default Best battery +2015 WRX?

Help? What battery should I get - Deka AGM or Costco Interstate Flooded Lead Acid battery? I hear that a modification is required with the AGM due to the voltage issues with the alternator?

I've only used and trusted interstate. I recently had one finally give up after 7 years of ownership since new...two years longer than its rated lifespan.

I have an Optima Red top in mine -- Picked it over the yellow top for cold cranking capability.

"Best" anything will always be subjective depending on one's individual priorities and needs. For me it was an AGM with lots of cranking capacity and a good warranty so the '15 got a Bosch group 35 AGM. My GTO has one as well, and if/when the Red Top in the '02 finally poops out (coming up on 11 years) it will be time for #3.

Default Tomioka battery - TR-B1500

Has anyone used a Tomioka racing battery? Considering the TR-B1500 for my 16 WRX. On paper it seems much better than stock at 465 CCA and 15 lbs.
