Used a rotary buffer for the first time.. damn so much easier than doing it by hand!

Intake is out, manifold is out, dropped the headers/catalytic converter, alternator is out, PS pump is off to the side, battery is out, starter is out, flex plate bolts are out, and all nuts/bolts holding the engine/4EAT are off. Tomorrow night the engine gets yanked and the real fun begins on the transmission swap.

Fixed the scratch on my wheel that my girlfriend decided to bounce off of a curb -_- but it came out great, can't even tell it was ever scraped. Wheeldude sells an exact color matched paint for all their rota wheels.

Long block is out and sitting on the engine stand. Swapped in the GroupN motor mounts, cleaned up the surfaces a bit, and took a look around the main seal areas to make sure there weren't any noticeable leaks.

Also installed the TiC transmission cross brace bushings on the H brace waiting to be installed. Next up are the shift linkage update, brake master cylinder brace, more cleaning of various surfaces, and removal of the 4EAT drive shaft.

I put group n motor mounts, paranoid fabrications exhaust hangers, and tic rear diff mount bushings in...the passenger floorboard; and stared at them and wondered how hard they will be to install.

They aren't that hard. I found a great writeup from a quick search. You don't even have to take the differential off.

Switched to the super sweet "JDM" hazard button. I've wanted it in my other two WRXs and finally have it in my third. Now to paint all the silver that's on my dash black.

Air pump delete is hard with the intake manifold in but when it's out it isn't a big to-do.
Unless you snap one of the bolts on the head..like I did.

Finally got around to using a rotory buffer and Meguire's Ultimate Compound on the trunk I repainted in my garage with Grimmspeed WRB paint. It's not perfect, but it will do until I mold in a Mine's spoiler

Well since my STi had no radio to begin with, I decided to make my own gauge pod
