Not sure I can do that just yet with the S10. Although, this TPU case is really just good for preventing scratches and providing a better grip.
Bingo! Protection is important for a glass electronic device I frequently use but my god is it extra slippery without a case. So not only are you more likely to drop it, it's then more likely to shatter as well. Double nope. Again, glass sandwich, marketing, etc. My TPU case has a beveled cross-hatch-like pattern that gives it a great grip.

OK, question. I'm currently on the OP6 and running Android 9, I'm trying to install a downloaded APK and for the life of me I'm trying to find the option to enable installation of side loaded APK under Settings - Developers Options,

But I cannot find it. Did they move it elsewhere in the phone settings or am I going senile?

Think it's in the "Security & Lock Screen" area or Settings > Apps > Special Access > install unknown apps (last option)!

You can see the crease in the screen when it's flat. Yuck.

This feature is handled differently in PIE, instead of enabling it system-wide, you enable individual apps to be able to sideload.

Open settings and type "unknown" in the search box at the top to find it quickly (or, under Apps & Notifications -> Advanced -> Special app access -> Install unknown apps").

Once you're there, enable it for the app you are attempting to connect to the APK from- i.e., if you are downloading it in Chrome, turn it on for Chrome.

I guess I will hold on to this Pixel for a few more days. I reached out to the number associated with the setup and received no response. The police station I went to earlier was closed. I may just root and load another build on it.

I think that the IMEI number will be flagged. Not sure you'll be able to get a carrier to add it to a plan.

i found an s7 awhile ago. the back glass is cracked and the screen is a little scuffed but otherwise it's solid. It was out in the road so who knows who or where it was from. I put and lost and found ad up on CL, but nothing.

interesting thing about it was it had full signal, but no "service" ...i think it had a t-mo sim card. maybe it was a prepaid? never did unlock it. tried a few things from the webz about how to backdoor into it but none seemed to work. so there it's sat in a box for a couple years.

I wasn't planning on using it at all. I wanted to give it back to whomever it belongs to, but I have been unable to leave it with anyone so far. Google, the police, TMobile, Verizon. It is what it is though. I may just put it back on the sidewalk.

But they're entirely different folds though. One is just a bend. Galaxy Fold actually closes like a book.

TBH it's more noticeable when the screen is black, but that's gonna be most of the time if you're trying to save on battery life.

Samsung talked about how many thousands of folds the hinge could take, but nada about the screen itself. What's it even made of?

Plastic. Soft, malleable and easily scratched plastic.

Which raises the question.. how do you put a screen protector on it? Or case? I assume any case would likely keep it from closing completely.

You don't. It looks interesting and futuristic for a few days. Then it gets scratched, the scratches build up in commonly utilized areas like the swipe up area for the app drawer. Pressure will start to degrade the OLED over time and you'll start to get dead pixels in the common swipe areas and at the crease. Next you'll wonder why you spent so much money on something that has dead pixels one year in and eventually buy a more conventional phone.

If it works for you, I'll try it again too.

The crease doesn't really seem too bad, though who knows what it will look like after 6 months of use
