if you have a set of airpods and an apple watch, you my friend, have got it.

at least that's what I have been told by people who seem to care what others think.

****ing airpods... my boss bought them and was trying to get me to use them... you'd think that for that much $$$ they'd have better acoustics and mic cancellation; with my $21 Plantronics Voyager Edge earpiece I could be in a wind tunnel next to a PA speaker with Metallica cranked to 11 and the person on the other end of a call would still be able to understand me without me having to shout (thanks to Plantronics excellent multi-mic magic)... not so much with my boss' airpods; also, the full-wireless Rowkins I bought from meh.com for $30 sound just as good as his airpods but go MUCH louder. And they have capacitive touch, too (though I find it easier to just control things with my watch)

I tried a smart watch for a short period of time and I didn't really find it that useful. It also irritated my skin as does most jewelery so I gave it to my brother in law. Meh. I do like my Galaxy Buds in the gym.

The Buds are great. I saw them for sale at Costco the other day. $120. Glad I got them free.

Someone here recommended Tranya earbuds, they are like $50 on amazon. I got them as a gift and I am not disappointed. My only knock on these is that you can't connect two devices at the same time. I'm curious if the Galaxy ones can do that.

I think some of you were missing the LED notification light when upgrading to newer phones.
Someone over at XDA created "NotifyBuddy" which has to be side loaded, but seems to be getting very good feedback

It looks like the buds can only connect to one device at a time.

i still haven't found a use case for a smartwatch at least for me but my wife loves her and uses it all the time. when she is in a session with a patient, she leaves the phone outside and only has her watch with her. she can still see notifications if the kids need her or reply to urgent messages and she can also control the music in the room. is it a must have item? not even close but if you already like wearing watches, i can see why people opt for a smartwatch.

Hey all,

Going to be parting with my Pixel 3XL.

Was going to Swappa it, but I figured I'd let an OTter have first crack at it.

Lowest Swappa price is $550 currently. OTter price, $500 shipped.

It's in mint condition. Bought new from Google last year.

Black, 128GB w/all original accessories, clear case, uninstalled screen protector.

PM me your phone number and I'll text you pics.

Not sure if you have tried your 3XL on the new beta os but it's really good. Hopefully when the public release goes live it continues to be smooth and snappy. I had some buyers remorse with my 3XL when I got it while running Android pie but now on the beta for Q it's much better.

I did actually. I was on Beta 4 before I decided to switch devices.

I went back to a Galaxy due to my new watch. It behaves better with the Galaxy than it did the Pixel.

Bumpin' for the weekend. If nobody is interested I'll just slap it on Swappa next week.

I just set up my in-laws with 2 Moto G7 "Power" editions.

That's a damn nice phone. Massive battery too. Camera is quite good too.

The only problem is... my in-laws are tech inept, and they're coming from the iPhone 4

Anyone with an OP7 (non pro) that came from an OP6? I'm debating between the two since they both seem similar appearance-wise.

My Google now feed is blank.

I uninstalled Google app updates and installed an older version a while back to fix a broken animation in Android Q beta preview 4. Recently received beta preview 5 and updated the Google app to most recent. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but a search only had one other person saying the same thing. I messed with the Google app settings, no change.

What did you end up paying for the G7 power? Any nits to pick about it?

Looking for something for the wife in the midrange area. $200-300. She's coming from an OG Motorola Force (the one with the shatterproof screen).
Unfortunately the mic was not unbreakable, she dropped it one too many times and now her mic sounds like ****. She talks on it 1-2 hours every day.

Kinda miffed they don't make the shatterproof displays anymore.

IIRC $220 on amazon

No complaints yet. It looks and feels almost like a flagship.

I finally said goodbye to the N6P and welcomed the OP7P. I had a Nexus 4 before the 6P and they both just seemingly slow way down once they pass the four-year mark. Still, four years is good. The OP7 has big shoes to fill.

Four years is asking a lot of any phone. I think with its second life with my sister in law, my OPO may have made it 4 years (and I wasn't the original owner, either). I still use my N4 nearly daily but only as my music player at the gym.

After finally having a working OnePlus 7 Pro for awhile I feel like such a cum dumpster. I know OnePlus won't pull out even though they promised, but it's good enough that I don't care now. I still can't recommend it to anyone based on customer service experience though unless you really like to gamble.

That's why I went with OP. I bought my wife an OPO three years ago as a replacement for the Note 2. If she hadn't cracked the screen, the OPO felt like it had another year left in her. The boss is butterfingers with her devices though. 😞

Dude, your experience truly sucked but the OP7 Pro is just badass! Reviewers are still pumping out articles and videos praising the phone after 2 months on the market.

It's still one of, if not, THE best phone available.

Glad you are finally getting to enjoy it.

My Moto G6 received the Android 9.0 Pie update this week. My wife has the same phone and did the update last night. She doesn't like change so she keeps asking me questions...
