Greg, you are absolutely right. Ignore all these haterz.

I mean, that picture shows someone trying to drive precisely a course as fast as he car. He is given three shots and that's it.

Ken got two days to showcase his abundance of talent throwing caution to the wind, risking death and destruction at every turn!

What about tearing up a borrowed car on a snow covered airfield while wearing a Bud dress?

Yeah you mean like where one is actually going for time to be the fastest they possibly can all the while being on the hairy edge of putting a car into a wall/lightpost/hard object vs ****ing around doing a Brian Boitano ice dancing on an abandoned lot?

Dont get me wrong I destroyed a lot of wheels and hubs over the years playing in the snow but that's just not the same. Fun but not the same

I never said its not fun, dangerous, hairy or exciting.

All I said its not the same thing and they should not express their opinions if they didnt experience it.

Dude... you've gotta let it go. Some people don't like drifting, or hoonage, or any of that. So be it... live and let live... c'est la vie... all those sayings apply.

But people are getting upset because you're calling out guys and girls who have plenty of track experience under their belt as n00bs because they don't like the video of Ken drifting, and that's what's getting people upset. I mean, we all know for a fact that Hoppe is a n00blet, but there's no need to call him one just because he didn't enjoy watching Block tossing his car around like a lunatic.

So please, drop it while you're only marginally behind. If they don't like the video... who cares?

Not my thing but I can see how it could be fun, dangerous etc.

I'm from the rally background so I like to go 100 sideways on gravel roads 2 feet from trees

Ya know the nice thing about trees. They don't divebomb ya, they don't drift into you, theyy don't spin in front of you.

Now ITB cars do all of that and sometimes do it less than 2ft from eachother. Does that mean they are better? Nope, just different.

I don't think anyone is saying that Ken is a crappy driver. They are all saying it's a cool vid but not the awesomest superest coolest bestest display on driving ever. It's cool, but don't blow it out of proportion.

obviously KB was having a blast beating up on those BFG R-compounds, so just enjoy the vid on your own and let the whiners eat their grapes.

LOVED the shot where he driiiiiifts so long around the hairpin and just barely tags the back going out. Now that's real drivin! It's a level of commitment most ppl have no idea about.

RIGHT

but I'm just trying to open their eyes
If they like to follow the perfect line round the track that's fine, not my cup of tea but I dont really care but when they start expressing their opinions about something they never experienced (at least not intentionally) I feel the need to try to see the other side

There is not to many cars that will give this sort of experience. You need a light car with a lot of power, good diffs and tires

But whatever

I'M DONE HERE

LETS TALK AGAIN HOW AWESOME THIS VID IS

How about opening your eyes? You are apparently talking about "attacking time" while following the perfect line around a track. You have clearly never experienced real racing - otherwise you would know that the perfect line changes every 5 seconds or so because some jackass in an SM just checked up 100yds short of the real braking zone and you have to figure out a way around him - while not losing your place in the race or wrecking any of your other competitors.
