0000 I want a WRX

Default 05 STI or 06 WRX which is a better used buy?

I have a few options...but here is the general idea...

1. 2005 STI with 50-73k miles, 1 owner, no mods for $16 - $18k

2. 2006 WRX with 30-50k miles, 1 owner, no mods for $16 - $18k

Being used as a DD and for fun. What's better? Older STI, more miles, but better car? or Newer WRX, less miles?

Help if you can...Thanks!

I am biased b/c I have an 05 STi, but I had an 04 WRX before it. 04's only had the 2L motor vs the 2.5 in the 06, but outside of that, the better brakes, trans, front hub design (stronger in every way), better diffs, and numerous little changes (more caster designed into the control arms, for example) makes the STi the better car (imho).

I think the only real downside, if you want to call it one, is that the STi is indeed the bigger idiot-magnet when you're driving around.
