Someone who knows Turbos answer this question, what turbo(s) can make power all the way to 8000RPM or higher?

it has nothing to do with your turbo, it has to do with your motor, specifically your cams/valves/retainers.

some camshafts can give more low end grunt, some get more mid, and some give better top end.

There are so many variables that play into this it's going to be hard for you to get a straight answer, tbh. What motor is this turbo going on?

external wastegate + big turbo. but it won't spool ever till high RPMs.

8k rpms you will need upgraded valvetrain to rev that high

Just from what I have seen, pretty sure anything 35R or bigger with the right engine to push it there would be the answer.

Its all about air flow. The amount of boost you want to have at your max speed will determine your required airflow. Then you find a turbo to support your application. Weather or not your engine can handle it is up to you. Read here:

FP green or bigger should work... but you may not be happy w/ the green on a built block. What are you going to be using the car for 1/4 mile, auto-x, etc? If your planning to be running more then 20 psi and or meth/race gas you may want to go bigger 30r+.

Don't forget an intake manifold. The super-long WRX and STI intake runners, coupled with the tiny plenum volume, makes high-RPM power even more difficult to achieve.

This is false. I have a thread in PPB of my small turbo, head/cam experiment to see if I could get my small turbo to keep working in the higher RPMs with good headwork and bigasscams and unfortunately I learned that when a turbo moves to far out of its efficiency range no matter how much boost you run you get no more power. If you want to make real power at 8K you have to take into account engine displacement and VE to size a turbo that will still flow air efficiently at 8K.

3076 is the next turbo to go on my car

My power hold flat from peak to 7500RPM's (I didn't try going higher on SZ55)
Still running stock heads, I will see how well the GT30R works on upcoming install and tune.

I run a Cosworth 12mm High Flow Oil Pump with cross drilled crank thats been balanced as well.

So you took it literally that he wanted to just go to 8000RPM's even if it was a 200WHP loss?? Come on.
We all know that once the power starts dropping theres no sense to keep pushing it.

To consistently and safely (in USDM Subbies) rev to 8000RPM's you will need to have a built SB/cams/P&P heads/full valve train upgrade.
