Very nice looking bike man.

I am going crazy waiting for riding season. I am just brain storming ideas to do to the bike to pass time.

I sold my old gixxer last year and picked up a wrecked r6 during the fall..... not sure if I'll put it back together I'd have to get a title the hard way because it didn't come with one. Only needs a few minor repairs to get her running but would need a bit more cosmetic work before it would look good...... we'll see.....

Anyone gone through the process of getting the replacement title? I know it has to do something with getting it appraised and then putting up a bond in case the title is contested or something.

You too. Is that a R6 or an R1 ? They keep changing them so rapidly these days.

ps. pretty sure it is an R6 but I don't want to assume.

Ride is good. Great handles in the twistys. I had a 2005 R6 which is now the R6S and the biggest difference between my old one and this one is the power on my 06 is in the high rpm's. You gotta stay in the high rpm's to get the torque out. My 05 was pretty smooth all the way threw the revs. But i defintly like the styling of mine compared to the R6S

hows it around town or longer rides?

I'm torn between it or the FZ6 which appears to be its smaller brother.

Its not bad, im only about 5' 6" so its pretty comfortable. On long rides you get a lil crapped up, but thats gonna happen on a sportbike. I notice it more the older i get. From what ive heard from other people, the FZ6 is alot more comfortable for longer rides and still has pretty good power. Have u ever riden before?

Talked to my buddy and he said he went to Business insurance associates 1503 West 32nd Avenue. And i guess they have some paperwork you fill out, pay $200 for a bond on the bike. Should call them and they should be able to give you more info. Hope this helps some

I own a 2000 YZF600 which is pretty comfortable for me to ride even though I'm 6'3" Farthest I've ridden it non stop though would be from here to the other side of wasilla and I wasn't cramped up at all. Have not ridden an R6 though to compare... but I doubt Yamaha allows test rides on those

Yeah I think its an 04, got it from a guy out in the valley, the registered owner is out of state in vegas or something. I talked to him over the phone a couple times and sent him all the paperwork he needed to get the title, he said he would do it no problem but I haven't heard from him since and figure I'll just go this route.

Not nearly bro enough. Needs fender eliminator and flush mount signals. Then, a hyper-blue bulb in each light, and smoke the lenses.

Next, get an extended swing arm, lower it so you can't turn, and a rear tire at least 15" wide. But make sure you only use 1" of the tread, otherwise, you'll get the tire dirty.
