EZ30D Swap into 2001 impreza
i have recently acquired a 2002 outback that was wrecked and i am intending to swap the h6 into my 2001 impreza. I have read what info i can find about the swap but its fairly limited. i am just wondering how difficult the swap will be if i have a whole donor. gonna attempt to swap the engine, trans, and rear diff. is this reasonable or am i gonna regret it?

By far the hard part is merging the EZ30 engine harness to the Impreza dash harness. Since you seem to be staying with the auto trans, that will make it simpler (relatively speaking). The engine/ trans will bolt in- that's the easy part. The radiator setup will be another tricky part. The stock radiator may fit with slim fans, but a lot of people ditch a/c and put the radiator where the condenser was, just to have the extra space.
Have you read through The H6 Impreza Resource Thread? |

It is possible to run the stock Outback ECU, and there's a guy on that FB group who can tune the ECU. |
