Please people, do not just quote random specs- offset is directly related to rim width- you can certainly use a +55 6.5" wide rim on most late model Subarus, but you cannot use a +55 8" wide rim! Offset Nirvana is within a few millimeters of:

Width .... Offset

6.5" ....... +53 to +55
7.0" ....... +50 to +53
7.5" ....... +47 to +50
8.0" ....... +43 to +47

Anything within sighting distance of these ranges is happiness for your wheel bearings. I reserve the right to be corrected on the ranges, but they are about 95% accurate .

Hi
As I understand this post applies to all impreza's or Subaru's? That said your definition of "with in sighting distance"= a few mm's give or take? Is this correct? if so I have a question, I have a 2011 impreza 2.5i hatch with stock wheels and am looking to buy new after market wheels, and looking at your post I think the wheels I am looking at can fit but I am way too much of a newbie to fully understand if I am correct in my guesstamation, the wheels I am looking at are Konig Hypergrams(which are a new line) are 17"x8" with a +40mm offset. My guess is that the wheels are just on the edge of acceptable? or is this to much offset? can't decide for sure, any helpful input would be greatly appreciated.

Default Simple question 99 2.5RS with a 2005 wrx drivetrain

Ok my car is a 99 2.5RS with a 2005 WRX manual 5 speed transmission which includes axles, hubs, transmission, center and rear differential, but I'm not sure what size offsets I would need because I can't read the offsets on the inside of the rim. The rims are 16" black 5 spoke with subaru printed in the middle and I have 205/50/R16 Hankook Venus v2 tires on all 4 rims, if I wanted to widen out the car with fender flares how would I figure out what rims and tires I would need to match? Like stick a little bit out of the flares, and would my stock 2005 wrx axles fit?I go through front axles like crazy and I'm sure that the person that had the car before me didn't know anything about the offset of the wheels lol

Hey guys, we've got a 2016 Impreza, looking to buy a set of winter steelies for the car. Could someone confirm that a 15x6 wheel with a +36.5 offset will fit?
Thanks!

That won't be anywhere close to fitting, despite the fact that you didn't include enough information. There is no way to fit a 10" wheel on a stock body GC.

And "I want this size cuz it's what I can get cheap" is the wrong way to go about modifying your car.

thanks for the input that was the most straight up answer i had sow far out of all the people i asked the 16 10slicks would only be for starters thats not the only reason i want them just wanta fat ass tier the fattest i can get on my car without rooling the fenders might be doing wide body in the future on this car but my red car body is going to stay stock so whatever I buy now I can still use later on the red car

I have read through the thread, but a lot of outdated info, coupled with being a new member and not being able to post a new thread, but whatever. I am looking for some winter steelies for my 15 Impreza wagon. I live close to Summit racing and would like to pick the wheels up.

Will I have any issues with this combination? Either 15" or 16" wheel, 6" or 6.5" wide, with a 41mm offset? If I choose 15" wheel I would go 195/65/15 if 16" 205/55/16. How important for the 15 Impreza is hub bore size? Can I go larger?

Is +30 offset too much for a '10 sedan? The wheels I'm looking at are 18x8.5 +30

Default Wheel help

Hey guys I'm new to the site and I have a 2017 wrx I found wheel I wanna use for summer but I'm worried about the width and offset. And help would be appreciated. The wheels I found are 17 inch 7.5 wide 40mm offset. Wondering if the width will cause any problems with handling and if the offset will be OK. I'm hoping to have the wheel more flush with the fenders. Will these do it?. Thanks

I kinda wanna put 17x9.5 CCW Classic 2pc wheels on my 07 WRX sedan; is my logic correct if I were to use this chart below as justification for getting them - will this work with some suspension work and not make me look stance? I don't want stance, just flush without poke and too much camber. With the setup I want I'll be looking at 3mm to 7mm outside the recommended values - any advice or flaming available on the topic?

That's the offset info from CCW - I emailed them a few times last month. I looked all over for the offset info from them, but it's not out there, not even on their site for some reason.
Any input, sir?

Default 2006 wagon

Im sure its been asked already. The figures given im sure were for sedans. What are the acceptable ranges of offset and wheel width for a 06 wagon lowered 1 inch. Id like to fit 18s. I have not rolled fenders but would if needed to. Im looking at the enkei rs05rr and for an 18 x 8.5 the offset choices are 50 or 42. I have a feeling they wont fit.

They'll fit with a 225/40/17 tire for sure. You'll want to go with the 42 offset. You might even be able to fit a 235 to 245, but at that point you'd want to get your fenders rolled, yes.

I recently purchased some 17x9 +38 SSR GTX01 wheels for my 07 WRX. I'd like to run 255s and clear brembos, that's the reason I got the lower offset. Was that a terrible move.

I'm going to be on coils and am planning on getting camber plates / rolled, etc.

Does that sound reasonable?

Default Wheel fitment help.

Do you guys think I can run 17x7.5 +35 wrapped in 215/40/17 on my 02 wrx sedan? I have it lowered on tein coilovers with slight camber in the rear and would prefer not rolling my fenders. I've heard guys saying that they've done 35 with no issue but was a bit skeptical and just wanted input.

I have an 08' STI with lowering springs and plan on running 265/35's or 275/35's but want to make sure I will not have any fitment issues. I've done tons of research so I'm not worried about the 18x9's +35, I'm more worried about the 18x10's +40 because of the wider width and higher offset. I plan to roll the fenders.

To be more safe I would go with a 265/35 if running a x10.0 inch wheel. The issue I see with an 18x10.0 +40 with lowering springs will be the inside clearance with the tire hitting the springs. I would suggest 18x9.5 +40ish with a 265 tire or you can go 275.
