Default Does anyone know what the stock turbo on a 2007 Legacy GT is?

I test drove the car today and have been trying to do some research on it, but I can't seem to find anything on it, so, my question is my title, does anyone know what the stock turbo is on a legacy. Your answer, to whomever can answer this is greatly appreciated

I highly doubt it. Have you seen the turbo configuration on the Legacy?

I'm newbie, so please be gentle :-) I'm looking at getting a Legacy GT and trying to establish the difference in the set up on the STI and GT. Anyone know the boost difference between the VF40 of the GT and the VF39 of the STI? - Any other block differences? I am assuming, turbo flows a little less, different intake and exhaust account for the 50 less ponies. Any insight is helpful.

I know - SEARCH I'm stuck on dial up while on work assignment, so search function is not my friend as it takes forever.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The VF40 turbine wheel is MUCH smaller than the VF39. The compressor wheel is also smaller ID and OD.

Dear Mr. XXXXXXX:

Thank you for visiting the Subaru web site and for your message!

The VF40 is a more traditional turbocharger. The VF46 is the world's first 5-arc scroll turbo. This new design has been adopted for the turbocharger compressor. By adjusting the flow of compressor air and improving compression efficiency, low and midrange torque has been increased/improved.

In a separate email message where I can include attachments, I will send you a diagram of the resulting differences in airflow.

Thank you for your message and if you have any other questions, do not hesitate to reply to this email.

Sincerely,

Samir Hasan
