Dude, there would be 0 points awarded. Hell, I might give you negative points just so you can get some and be at 0.

Is MS paint still around?

M2 CS, Cayman, base C8 Vette, GT350, RS3 maybe? Most are closer to 60K than they are to 50K though so if that extra 10K breaks the budget, it's hard to beat a base 3.0 Supra.

Honestly from the reviews I've seen, the 6th gen Camaro ss 1le is about the best powerful driving experience you can get for the price. I hate the exterior and the visibility (many say they adapt well to it), but can't deny the performance and reviews from people with a lot more seat time and vehicle variety than myself.

No, no, no. Youíre thinking Nicholas Cage!

Eh.... cheapest of those is around $65k, I think. The camaro has been rated really well though. For $50k, you wonít find a better sports car than the Supra. Slap a tune on it, and it hauls. Throw a caged dp and tune, and it rapes. Throw a catted dp, water /meth and you have a punisher.

^^totally agree with this. The SS 1le is a performance bargain. You can get One for low to mid 40ís. They are also bringing the 10 spd. Auto for 21 if thatís your thing.

The sounds that thing makes are glorious!

For me, a fun car for long term ownership (letís say 5+ years) has to have a manual transmission. I just feel there are not a lot of choices in the $50,000 plus or minus 5% price point with MT and some measure of reliability. Not sure if the factory GT with Roush supercharger can be had for this price, and thereís the question of reliability...

Not a chance in hell. The M division wouldnít allow it, it would then likely kill M2CS which will already be an $80k-$90k car. If M division and BMW somehow allowed the S58 to be sold in the Supra, the cost of the vehicle would jump $20k.

If the M2CS is not getting the S58, neither will the Supra.

Mustang GT PP2, Base Camaro LT1...and even the Base C8 corvette is at the top end of that range. Historically good performance per dollar bargains @ less than and into that price range based on options. And of course the obvious, an STI fits the fun bill in SPADES for way less than that price range. Also the Utility of an STI above and beyond the fun factor is a HUGE advantage over the other cars.

The C8 is going to steal the show for the next couple of years at least anyway, mid engine, screaming V8, sub 3 second 0-60, and ferrari esq' styling, for 60,000??? It has no competition in that configuration for that price or even double that price. Fun??? Just watch the reaction of test drivers on Youtube, probably one of the most fun cars available right now. This car steals the decade.

I feel the same about a manual trans, almost wish I didnít these days as it would make things easier. I priced out a 1ss 1le and it came out to 43k. The MT is the same Tremec unit as in the gt350 I believe. Iíve heard the drive train of the Mustang GT leaves a lot to desire. Also as much as I canít stand the camaro exterior I dislike the mustang exterior and interior more.

These days I donít have time or interest to have to build up a car to get the power I want. And yep there arenít any affordable MT options that can easily be modified to produce reliable high numbers.

And for reliability I actually prefer the Idea of a ďmodestď 450hp over the higher strung gt350.

I would agree with you if we were talking about a run of the mill Supra, but given that this one is rumored to be limited to 200 only, I can see it happening giving the exclusivity. Regular Supras will probably remain with the B58 throughout their entire lifespans, with maybe incremental bumps in power due to refined tuning over the years.

They should throw some TOMS livery on it, maybe then a certain someone in here will be convinced that it's a good car

I've only seen the TOM's body kit, but thing is pretty ugly. I've not looked into their performance parts as I don't plan on doing anything more on my 2020 for performance (I did the piggyback and intake).

Even on stock map the car is more than plenty for street driving.

This is another reason why it was dumb for toyota to use a Z4 to create the "marketing package" that is the "supra"*, as if what you say is true they cant offer a hotter version unless BMW approves, because then there will be 5 versions of the same car between Toyota and BMW which is just weird. And if they do give it the hottest parts(which it deserves anyway), it will push the price into the BMW stratosphere and there are other cars available that would be almost half the price that would equal or outperform it. Bad move toyota to use BMW if your listening. It was also equally dumb for BMW to do it.
