OMGHi2U Just bought Tactrix Openport need advice

Hello guys, just bought tactrix openport, i have two cars I need maps for

2012 Subaru WRX STi
Turboback exhaust
Perrin intake
Otherwise all stock

2004 WRX Java pearl
All stock minus turboback exhaust and cold air intake however ECU had an e85 tune prior to this, so just need to revert it back to stock

For some reason i can't register at openecu.org so I have to ask you guys.

I need some pointers on which maps to download..... THANKS

That's one problem with openport, there are no off the shelf stage 1/2/3 tunes. Sometimes you can lucky and find someone with a similar car, copy it's tables, datalog, adjust, reflash and log again. I have done alot of logging and adjusting on mine.

But for going back to stock it's easy. You can find many original roms on this page.

Look under 2004 WRX, the numbers ending in F are for the 5 speed and ending in E for auto...And usually you want to use the newest one, or largest number,(xxx520F) they have updates from the earlier versions.

There's basically two ways to get tuned:
1) Pay a tuner.
2) Learn to do it yourself.

There's a great community around DIY Subaru tuning at romraider.com and if you're lucky there you might find a tune there that's close to what you need. But really if you don't want to DIY you're better off hiring a tuner to get you set up.
