Have you considered just getting a bunch of guys to get together and head out to that once a month cars and coffee that's in Tyler and having a Subaru area together? That way it's guaranteed to have plenty of people but still have a nice meet. A good start for sure.

For anyone else who may be interested in a drive to Lufkin, I have a decent little car group here with 38 members at the moment, most of which drive sports cars of some sort of another. On the 23rd, Pine Valley Raceway (drag strip here in Lufkin, Diboll to be more exact) will be open for a Test & Tune day. We are having a meet that day and would love to see some other Subarus make it in.

Verbalize what happens in this thread, or make a Facebook group or something. That's what I did and it works well. I'll do my best to make it. And if the dealership does do something, I would be all for making the drive.

Yes, next Saturday. Gates open at 10 AM, drags start at 12.

$10 to get in the gates, another $15 to race.

This is at Pine Valley Raceway in Diboll. There should be a few Subarus out there if the other 2 in my group come along.

Called the Peltier general manager for probably the 5th time and, again, no answer.

This is becoming a habit.

Are you calling the Nissan store? Chevy? The building pictured above used to be their used car "super center". I'm not sure if they are still operating out of it though.

Got a call back from the general manager of Chevy today with a name and a number to contact. He said he loves the idea and can't imagine the guy I am to talk with won't either.

Edit: And drum roll please...

Mike Terry at P Auto (the soon to be Peltier Subaru, manager of sorts I assume) loves the idea and wants us to have a car show for a grand opening type event, sometime in mid-April. He said he cannot give specifics yet because nothing is set in stone, but he will be shooting me a call when that is known and letting me know. Take this time to spread the word to anyone who might be interested!

He even has two guys who work there who drive a WRX and a MS3.

if they want to do a legitimate show for a grand opening, then I might be able to convince a few people I know from the Houston area to come up and take part in the show, as well as event coverage. Depending on what all types of cars/builds are there, it could possibly turn into a feature for someone, or a few people, in a well known, but small, media publication out of the Houston area.

Well he hasn't returned my call yet. He said he would when he has a finalized day.

I plan to make a thread on here, IWSTi, and HI to spread the word. Plus I have 5 Scoobs (08 WRX Hatch, 08 WRX Sedan, My 05 Saabaru, 12 FRS, and soon to be 09 WRX), as well as 1 guy who wants an 02 WRX and one guy looking for an 08-12 STi or Evo. Most of these guys have expressed interest in making it out. So that's another 7 possible right there from Lufkin and Nac. Edit: Oh, and my family is planning on picking up another Saabaru as a project. So that'd be 8.

Help, stranded in Tyler. Does anyone have any spare brake lines for a wrx or STI? One of my lines rubbed through and I am traveling.

Can anyone help? I would greatly appreciate it!

Had to go across the street to order parts at his Nissan house. Seeing if his parts database is matrixed with SOA parts wise yet. Ordered something 20$ to test it out. Just gave them a part number, didn't have there computers set up to show schematics yet though. We're subi junkies. We know where to find most part numbers anyways. For now at least. Hehehe

So they're open now or just getting cars in?

I had the store manager confirm a car show. Never got a call back. Fairly disappointed in that.
