I often have to leave my vehicle parked in unsavory neighborhoods and/or the airport for days at a time.

Not maybe a truck thing, but I installed a winch on my dads kubota rtv last week. Here's a quick vid of us testing it.

Thinking about taking a look at this Discover this weekend.
http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/3514795015.html The big concern is the "transmission" issue. Could be the Oxygen sensor, could be old fluid. If that's the case I will likely pull the trigger on it (assuming all others check out good) The other concern is the rear suspension leak. I am assuming air bags are leaking(waiting for more info from the seller) If that's the case I assume a lift would replace the airbags with springs, right? I was planning on a lift anyways so that's a no issue. Thoughts from the Rover crowd? |

Even the full doors can EASILY have the locks punched right out. I have seen it done. The only way you will even get a small degree of security in the wrangler is with Tuffy products, and even those aren't completely theft proof. |

It made my short list of vehicles I could pilot incredibly fast within 45 minutes of the initial drive.
A pickup truck. ----- Also, he wants to put a catback on it and we were thinking Corsa. Do any of you lucky ****s have any experience with that system on the Raptor? |

Look all around the heads for signs of external head gasket leakage, drive the piss out of it and make sure it doesnt overheat, inspect the coolant to make sure its clear. All the standard stuff. Looks solid though. |

If he wants an intake i would suggest a volant intake with the donaldson powercore filter (100k mile filter, AMAZING filtration). Oh and a reflash, i have the 5star sct tune on mine and it really turns it into a beast (rolling burn outs at 20-30mph with god year MTR's) |

It's good if you are trying to restore one though, most of the ones I see in the yard doesn't even have body damage, prob engine or tranny failure that put them there. A shame someone haven't made a kit to adapt these things to something like a Vortec 5.3 with 4L60E. It would give these beautiful trucks a new lease in life rather than the crusher. It's still one of my favorite designs. |

These are pretty common out here in the sub 3k range. This one just struck a chord as it is a bit newer than what is commonly for sale. If I don't buy it, I don't buy it. Wife Forester is still kicking around And a swap would be nice, but I would rather go diesel. Speaking of diesel, does anyone swap the EU 2.5 diesel into the US Disco's? |
