I finally did the clear corners, and painted side skirts.
Anyone who hasn't done these two very easy mods are silly. Especially the corners, Kris I should have let you do mine at the meet, but Boomer showed me how and they came out awesome. And for the side skirts, both Boomer and I got ours back from the shop, YAHOO man they look good, they match and they are CLEAN. Well I did almost the whole thing myself. I can help someone else out if anyone wants to do it. You just have to get a body sop to paint them for you. I would reccomend taking them off the car, priming them with a Laquer primer, sanding them flat, then having a body shop paint them. I would also reccomend taking off the black rubber strips that seperate the side skirts from the body of the car. If you leave the rubber gasket black, then it looks stock. They really look awesome, as soon as I get some pic's I will post them here. Or maybe you can see them at the meet in Aug.

It is a very good thing you did not paint the rubber gasket, or paint would be flaking off in the near future.
I can't wait to see them at the next meet. Paul G. |

Well I did the primer and sanding myself, I bought the cheap kind of laquar primer I think it was like 25 bucks for a gallon. I sanded th primer myself and brought them to a body shop that I used to work for , which my father has co-ownership of and they did it for free. If you do your own preping such as primer and sanding I would think a shop wouldn't charge more than a hundred bucks to color match and spray your pieces. I wish I could do a group thing at my Dad's shop but he isn't up for that, I did ask though. Sorry

or if you have the know-how and a compressor and gun, you can do it yourself. steve (boom) and i were going to do it all ourselves until we ran into problems getting paint, then we decided it was easier to give it to his dads place, have them mix the paint and then spray them while they are at it. and they look really really nice. but about what steve said, call around, and do the sanding, primer, sanding yourself to save some $.

I got a quote for $125 total cost if I removed the skirts from the car and brought them to the shop, and re-installed them. I never did it though.
