I'll be looking for a hoist also, there's various rental places in town but not many people will lend out their tools.

I happen to have both tools you require. I will lend them out for a refundable deposit. I hope you don't need them soon too soon though, as the guy above me has them right now.

Done... for now anyways, pick it up whenever. I have a few details to attend to before the motor goes in, looking at a few weeks. Looking for a rear differential now.
*WTB* Rear Diff R160 4.11

I found a low mileage 4.11 vlsd from a rolled
legacy gt. Right after I posted a wtb, someone called me outta nowhere and just happen to have one sitting around rusting in a field. I'm planning on swapping the 5spd and diff in Friday, should be fun. Before and after using rust convertor on the diff. This motor/5spd is the cleanest jdm Ive ever seen, hasn't been pressure washed.

looking at the oil filter area, it hardly looks like a 40k mile motor. JDM oil filter says DJ Drive Joy, LOL.

It's done and feels like new! ready for that cruise anytime. These 4.11 gears are much better for Prescott and it's 25mph speed limits.

I'll trade miles per gallon for smiles per gallon any day. But my car is no longer my daily so YMMV.

Damn NASIOC wont let me edit my previous post. I also got 32 ish MPG out of my full version 8 swap putting around town here. It dropped to abut 18-22 average when I lived in Phoenix. 4k rpm at 85 on the highways. It was right in the middle of it's power band though.

Well, I was thinking more of the higher revs at cruising speed.

Nice! So, are you keeping both dashboards? Couldn't brain your response in the other thread.

Oh... and about the OEM transmission fluid purchase. Did you and USLiberty want to group purchase?

Yeah, still need to get some super S gear oil. I threw some Mobil 1 gear oil I had sitting around for now. Not really bothered by the slightly higher revs at highway speed, it's probably 5% of my driving. You have to get 20minutes out of town before you even see a 65mph speed limit, LOL.

Does anyone need a maf sensor (02-05 or more) or a stick WRX fuel pump assembly with floater and tank bracket? Or maybe a stock space saver spare?

If I had a little more heads up on that, I could have helped. I got a couple finals on Thursday that I have to study for. I'm hoping to swap my new motor in this weekend but I have to port the heads, swap the timing belt and keep myself from attempting to paint the engine bay. Also scored 550cc STI injectors and some RS hood vents on a trade.

No worries I was just giving ya some shizzle, should be a quick pull I have most of the crap unbolted, just need to unbolt the tranny, lift the motor out and pull the heads.
