Default will whiteline sway bars afftect my 1/4 times or drivability at the track

will the whiteline front and rear sway bars affect my drivability at the track meaniing will they slow me down or mess with my 1/4 mile time. any inputs would be greatly apperciated. i am trying to better my sti at the track and its sloppy azz handling a little. i have a chance to get the bars for a great price but dont want to be slowed up at thye track.

i will be using a whiteline 27mm front and a 24mm in the rear

Do you turn while going down the track? There's a reason why they are called anti-roll bars.

If anything bars that big will slow you down since they are heavier than stock. A miniscule amount but it is more weight.

What do you do more of... 1/4-mile racing or things like autox or track-days?
If you only ever 1/4 the car and then just putz around daily driving, don't get the bars... save the money and mod the car to suit the kind of 'performance' driving you do the most. The stock bars are fine for just commuting to work and what-not.

You wont sacrifice any straight line accelleration with the bars other than a little bit of a weight penalty (as previously stated).

if you're getting a great deal on the bars.. do it up!

but i'd say only do it if its a GREAT deal. 27/24 is typically an autocross setup.. and you really wont see all the benefits offered by them if you're just cruising around or driving straight.

i have a 24F/22R setup on my wrx. it handles like a freaking formula one car compared to the way it used to.. but i can definitely feel the harshness when cornering on bumpy roads. something to think about...

Did you do your front and rear at the same time? I have a stock front bar (21mm hollow) and a rear 24mm White line. I was going to add 22mm sadjustable whiteline bar to the front in hopes that it will tighten my steering response. Well that and solid front links and a better alignment.

Well, there are a million different factors that contibute to steering response. Suspension is a whole package.. one thing contibutes to another and another and another.

To answer your question quickly... YES you will see immediate DRASTIC results in steering response with a front sway.

send me a PM if you have questions.. lets try and keep this thread on topic.

Your sway bar will effect your track driving immensly, the best thing you can do, suspension wise.
