Default good news.. bad news...

good news, superbad the movie is hilarious...

bad news... someone tried to break into my car yet again...(my compustar paged me within 2min of me leaving my car... came back, no one around, didnt notice till this morning) so the driver door lock is punched in... with a screwdriver... who knows if that is a problem? i dont think iv ever used it yet, so if it isnt a security problem, ill just leave it.

i dont get it tho.. wtf was this guy tring to do.. my car is ALWAYS clean, i leave nothing inside ever... glovebox always locked when i leave, and club on... there is nothin this guy can do other than maybe get inside causing a bunch of damage, again, and then what... nothing to take what so ever

Sorry to hear that Waaajtek. Your car caught the guy's attention.. its kinda flashy last time I checked. Some people just wanna see if they can do it even though you have the club on.

sorry man but sometimes law just doesn't cut it.. and i bet if you beat the crap out of him he would be less likely to do it again... instead of going to jail and coming out the next day.. im not saying its the right way to handle the situation but sometimes there isnt any option when theives don't learn

You're right. Unfortunately, our laws here in Canada don't have very much "teeth". Beating the "crap" out of a vandal isn't going to help the situation either. Who knows, they might turn on you and stab you with a weapon, or even sue you for physically harming them! Then what are you going to do?

Why do thieves break into vehicles? Most likely to get something of (little) value to sell to support their drug habit.

Are they going to learn from the beat-down lesson you give to them? Probably not. The addiction of the drug is more intolerable than you beating them up. Heck, being high on drugs means they probably don't feel anything at all!

Probably the best you can do is subdue the vandal until the police arrive.

Spy - I hope that this is the last incident you have with your vehicle. I know your pain and the price it costs to have your vehicle repaired.

LaterZ!

thank god no one has vandalized my car yet *knocks on wood*.. last year when i was in edmonton.. i was staying with my buddy in the most ghetto neighborhood ever.. and i drove a 95 ford escort at the time (not a bad car really.. didnt give me any problems.. nice and reliable.. good economy car.. damn slow tho.. almost got killed because of it when i tried to pass someone and almost hit a semi head-on).. but anyways.. some bastard decided to break into my car to see what he could find.. he stole my pair ofwork boots and lugz shoes.. and then saw that there was nothing else so he took my ****ing car battery!!!.. i had to pay $100 to get the battery cables reparied since he just snipped them off and another 80 bucks for the battery.. that really sucked

What you may think is of little or no value (in your case, a pair of boots and shoes), may be valuable to someone who really has nothing! Think about it. A homeless person who needs shoes, sees a pair of shoes in your car. They end up breaking into your car for a pair of shoes!

In your case, I wouldn't be surprised if one pair of shoes was kept, and another pair were sold for like $5.

Oh, and as for car batteries, I heard that people are stealing car batteries for the lead plates inside of them! I saw it on the news the other day. A fence at a GVRD recycling depot was cut so that used car batteries could be pulled out of the facilities.

Thieves are literally stealing anything that isn't bolted down that is metalic.

And now, let's get back on topic.
