Default ? about using head unit to power back speakers

Hey All,

I have the following components (not yet in the car, most are still on the way) for my STI:

Alpine 7995 Head Unit
JL Audio 300.4 amp
JL Audio w3v2 10 inch Subwoofer
Infinity Kappa 60.5 speakers for the front doors
Infinity Kappa 52.5 speakers for the back doors

I was wondering how feasible it would be to have the amplifier run half its power to the front speakers and the other half to the subwoofer, while letting the Apline head unit handle the power for the back door speakers. Do you guys think this setup would work alright?

I had planned on running the 300.4 amp for the 4 speakers and purchasing a second amplifier to run the sub. After reading some of the posts on how important the back door speakers ARENT, I have wondered if powering the back speakers with anything BUT a the head unit would be a waste of weight.

Please let this audio-noob know your thoughts on the subject. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
