Looks good!!!

Are you planning on changing the wheels to meet that offset? Like others have been saying, spacers are great, but can damage your bearings. However, I don't think as severely as some people say.

Waiting for my STI to come in already... damn wait list...

This thing about tracks, wheels, and engineering makes people forget about capitalism economics. Subaru, like everyone else, goes for the money, and the hardcore fans are a desperate bunch.

They knew people would buy the WRX no matter what, and yes, they need to set the STI appart of the other models using performance and looks. Looks are very important, it's what sets a Porsche appart from a Ferrari.

The WRX is probably the one with the most sales, so think about a small change like the wheels. Say the 17 inch is $100 less than the 18 inch, that's $400 per car for, say, 30,000 cars worldwide...probably more. So, that's $12 million less on cars that will sell anyway. Now add track, suspension and body. Oh...they took out the multi-CD player, was that a bad system? No, they had to save somewhere, and there went the wheels too.

What they probably know is that fans will go for spacers, wider wheels/tires, or whatever. And we know Subaru does very tough cars. I say the body and track change was to come anyway, they just got some money upfront.

I'm surprised the space was enough for 25mm, good for the trial and hit.

I looked at the pics carefully, and tires seem flush. Now, if you wanted to go for a wider tire later, it would come out of the fender. So, if you stay with the same tire size or a flush variation, keep the 25mm. But if you plan on a wider tire, you should think about a smaller spacer or keep that in mind for next year.

Interesting. I guess rota meshes are different wheels and will be wider?

Regarding tires, that's what I did with my 2009; when I changed the tires I went from 225 to 235. Mainly because roads here are sometimes tough and such low tires...one got a bump and ride felt a bit harsh. The 235 is wider and just a little taller, so it fills the well better.

Subaru increased the wheel width, which stretches the 235 and makes it lower, not as low as the 225, but close. Which makes the change to 245 seem the same as I did.

Please post some pics of the 20mm installed, let's see the difference.

I noticed some suggesting the use of larger spacers in the back than in the rear, I suppose this is because of the negative camber.

Although I have seen cars that seem to have a wider track or wheels at the rear, would this provide any negative effects on handling?

Having, say, 20mm front and 25mm rear or 15/20, would probably look cool.

Yes it would. The car was not designed for a staggered track in OEM form. But if your thinking of uber low car with huge camber, then handling is not your top priority anyway, so knock yourself out.

Looks great! How wide are the wheels? Any difference/loss in handling? I'm looking to get a wider offset but don't want to sacrifice handling too much.

I'm loving the new widebody sedans... Nice pick up!!!

You should throw the wheels from your FXT on there to see what they
look like.
