If you don't mind me asking, what wheel brand are those? I'm having a hard time finding a nice set of wheels x_x

Still learning...what is staggered track?

Not going to lower the car and WRX's have some negative camber. Took a detailed measurement and front is 12mm and back is 22mm, this with 235/45 tires. That makes me think about 15/25, because 3mm is about 2/16 inch, just a little they stick out. Safe would be 10/20, but the only 10mm bolt-on spacer is FIC and I don't know if the OEM wheel would clear the studs.

Anyone tried those sizes on 2008-09 WRX?

They are drag wheels. Very cheap but good looking as long as you dont use the centercap or paint it.

Looks sick bro, I like it a lot
I put 25mm spacers all around 2 years ago, and now, after 30,000 miles the spacers look and perform like new
BTW, I have 8.5" wide rims with 45mm offset

Default H&R springs vs busted struts?

I read earlier in this topic that the use of lowering springs (like H&R) will bust the struts on 08+ models... I own a 2011 WRX and I have a set of H&R that I am about to install... What exactly is the issue with this?? Any info appreciated.

Sorry to ask this here but I am new to the forum and can't create a thread yet!

The stock struts and shocks are very weak and sometimes start to leak when paired up with springs that lower the ride height and have an increased spring rate.
This is especially the case on the 08's (softest suspension) but also on the 09'-10's to a lesser extent.
I haven't heard anything yet about the this issue on 11's.

There should be plenty of threads specifically about this somewhere around here.

Thanks Breezio for the info... I will go ahead and give it a try anyway, if I end up with leaking struts I'll think about a coilovers setup

So are you running these spacers without longer wheel studs?

If so that is risky business.

I think most of the 25mm spacers have their own built in studs.

I don't think there is even 25mm of extra stud to even start the nut on the factory studs...?

Ishiba type 2 spacers do have their own studs pre-mounted… No worries there

Why would you roll the fenders of a brand new car?

So the spacers the OP is using doesn't require removal of the factory studs to replace with longer ones?

According to post #5 in this thread, it sounds like the OP used spacers that have their own studs built into them.

You bolt the spacer to the hub with the original studs and some shorty lug nuts, then the spacer has it's own studs built into it that extend out and you bold your wheels onto those.

I like it since they line up with the wheel well perfectly. That being said, from a distance I feel like they are too much in my face, and u might kick up a lot of debris towards your paint.

Why not get bigger wheels? Will the 11 STI wheels fit?

Yeah covered 10000x in this thread but from experience...had H&R on my 08 wrx and struts were blown in less than 700 miles...dont waste your time or money. Save your money and go straight to coils..Car looks great btw!

Finally went with 15mm front and 20mm rears. As I have 235/45, oddly enough one rear tire scrape. I had to roll the rear fenders a little and now it's cool.

Coilovers arethe better option, but all I hear on this thread is don't do H&R. With exception to above post, doesn't sound like anyone else tried it for themselves. I had H&R on my 08 for 20k miles, and then re-installed them on my 2011 for the last 4k miles and NO PROBLEMS.

I don't doubt that it could possibly cause a leak, and I know it is under-damped with the stocker struts, but I get annoyed when people post absolute "it will kill the car" type posts without personal experience (not directed at you Nick, since you were unfortunate to have it happen).
