they are a fleet management company, it does not represent when certain dealers will start getting their orders. Also different regions have different distributors. Everyone will not be receiving stock at the same time. It always varies. Dealers like heughberger Subaru will be among the first to start getting units in the US. The units will start arriving in very limited numbers before it starts to ramp up.

I expect that WRX might have minimum upgrades for 2019 model but it’s too quiet for 2019 WRX/STI info since last 2018 model ordering cut off will be a few weeks from now...

I am waiting for 2019 WRX info in order to make a decision whether I will go with 2019 WRX or wait to get next gen WRX which might be released year of 2019 or even 2020... if 2019 WRX is not enough upgrades, I will just change timing belt, new tires and some more maintenances to my 2008 forester XT sports and wait for next Generation WRX.

It feels a lot like the wait for 2017 info... lots of silence then and all it got was a cloth headliner and auto up/down passenger window.

My guess is that they're winding the VA down to make production line and parts room for the new SGP forester, so there will be minimal (if any) updates. Being 1 year away with a totally usable FXT in the driveway...I'd wait for the the next gen if I were you.

Honestly I won’t be surprised by any WRX updates which might make easy decision. If I need to run my 2008 Forester for one more or two years.
I need to put about $2000 maintenances T_T.
I feel like we might see next Gen WRX in year of 2020 instead of 2019.
Outback also needs new SGP and outback sells very well for Subaru so new outback in 2019 then 2020 for next gen WRX.

How accurate are these dates compared with orders/deliveries in previous years?

This year I bet will be android auto as the major change... and probably nothing more for major changes. The 7 year warranty on my WRX ends June 2019... I'm not keeping my 2012 WRX off warranty.. too risky with how I drive. Its too bad I will probably miss the cutoff to get the new WRX

Order dates are usually kinda close, but delivery dates are far off. Also, its a fleet site and doesn't reflect general dealership timelines.

I'd like that to be true, but I doubt it. The Forester never got it and it shares the interior of the Impreza/WRX/STI pretty much. For the last year of the VA, I'm guessing on a heated steering wheel for the Canadian sport-tech trim/all-weather package for the US, and maybe auto up/down all windows.

I think you should really wait. After driving the impreza on the SGP for a while now and seeing how great that feels/handles, I'm confident that the next WRX/STI will out handle the VA.

I think it'll depend on when they are bringing the next gen. I have zero clue if an idea I have holds weight or not; but, think that if we see the same head unit for the 19s then the replacement is "soon". If we see CP/AA, then it will be longer. Kinda how I look at the BRZ. LOW seller and they went through the trouble to make a CP/AA head unit. Yeah, we have a few years on that.

Yep. Forester and BRZ are really good example that Subaru might not change anything for 2019 WRX since they might release next gen WRX in 2019 for 2020 model even though consumers demand android or Apple CarPlay.
I thought it might be easy to just swap current system but it might need extra parts. I just want to know 2019 WRX spec as soon as possible so I can make a decision whether I will put $2000+ maintenances on my forester XT or not.
Really does not matter either Waiting or buying 2019 WRX. Just want to have eyesight and apple CarPlay for my new car.

BTW is SGP Impreza really good?
When I hear positive review for new SGP cars, I just do all maintenances on my forester and wait for next Gen WRX....... Currently I saved $7000 and my forester trade-in. if I wait one or two years, might save around $10000-15000 and forester trade-in so I might not be a bad position either...

Compared to what it replaced, it's amazing.

Yes it is. That platform is really rigid. If it got the stiffer suspension setup and tires of the current WRX it would out-handle it, imo. This is why I keep telling people to wait for the nex-gen.

Not if Subaru’s ordering system is still open for 18 and taking orders from your dealer.
