Default should I tack weld the center diff?

So i just bought a jdm 4.44fd 5mt from an 03 wrx. my question is should i tack weld the snap ring on the center diff before i put it in? Thoughts are appreciated greatly!

No need for it, they only come apart when something goes really bad inside the diff which rarely happens. And you wouldnt ever open it to do any servicing as its a sealed unit.

I have had 2 go out on my usdm 03 wrx 5 mt from what i have read the snap rings are known for it and some just slap a couple tacks around the snap ring to prevent future issues?
