I had them on my motor then swapped back to a stock set. I was having a hesitation. Swapping back to stock did nothing. My tuner was insistent that anything other then stock coils are crap so my car was tuned with the stock coils.
I swapped back the cosmo coils after my tune and have been running them with no new issues for a couple weeks. my plugs are gaped to .025. I am wondering if should open the plug backup to .030. |

I have a 2002 WRX with rebuilt 2.2. Lots of go fast stuff. I'm pushing 330+ to the wheels on 93 octane. I started getting the symptoms of a weak ignition coil. The car would drive great under moderate boost, but as soon as the car went over 15 pounds of boost she would act like it was missing. The car would still pull and boost to 21 like it should, but it would "hesitate" or "stumble" just slightly. Please note that I did extensive trouble shooting until I determined a coil was failing. I figured why not purchase the coils from Cosmo. After install the car cold idled around 1500RPM and once warmed up she dropped to around 650-700ish. I've been driving the car for 3 days and on the 3rd day I finally decided to go full boost. At this time she is running great with no "missing" or "hesitation". I will update ever so often to keep the information flowing.

My car was missing above 14 psi on the dyno on an E85 tune so my tuner told me to replace the coils. For safety he left it on wg spring pressure .3 bar till I replace them. I received the Cosmo coils and already installed them. They seem to smooth things out. Now I just have to get back to the tuner.

Just installed these on my 02 wrx. In the 2 years I've owned my car it has not ran this good. I installed these to replace some beck arnley coil packs I installed a year ago. Best $150 I've spent on my car hands down

Damn, I thought I would be the chosen one to resurrect this thread. Glad to see someone else gave it a shot too though.
I was having a stumbling at idle after multiple hard ecu resets on cylinder 1. I was also getting p0301 about once a month. No gross miss fires or anything. I stumbled across these looking for oem replacement. I was skeptical as hell and people get these say they are great then apparently never really report back sag after 5-20k miles. Any who I decided to try something against my better judgement. Stock single coils are like 93-109 per so at the 175 I paid, they were a bargain. Things I didn't like, the red. I also did not like the hardware that came with it. Frankly this probably makes little to no difference but I'm pretty sure the anchor bolt acts as a ground to the block. The brass press in bushing would pop out easily and the supplied bolt's thread looked cheap. The supplied boots looked OK but I swapped my og boots on as well as the brass bushing while one supplied bushing seemed OK. Oem coil packs are sitting in the boot for when one of these acts up. Most every one says these are great but once you hard reset the ecu to go back into learn mode yeah the car is going to run fine as its got to relearn everything. Naturally I was pleasantly surprised. After driving long enough for the ecu to learn (80 miles mixed style including hard pulls high boost crusing etc) they seem fine. Did I notice a HP gain. Can't really say as I just seafoamed the engine and cleaned my aosep. I will say she idles much better. High boost there is no hesitation of intermittent miss fire. I am still skeptical but things are looking good. |

Currently have around 1,000 miles on the coils. Car is running great, idle is smooth, and boost is strong throughout power band. No issues at this time

My car has been misfiring under WOT. I changed plugs , gapped at .028, and changed fuel filter. Swapped around some coils and found my problem to be a bad/weak pack. I just ordered these cosmo racing coils. Anybody had successful long term use?

Ok, my cosmo racing coils arrived in less then 2 days after ordering them. I installed them today and just went out for some WOT pulls. Yay!!! No more misfires, my car pulled like a freight train. Im incredibly pleased with their performance and just thrilled to have my car running properly again for a relatively inexpensive price.

Installed a set yesterday on my car. Running better helped get rid of my hesitation/stumble. Took 5 days from when i ordered and i placed my order on a weekend.

for the price im not sure why so many people want to know a long term they are 165 for 4 coils.. if you want OEM pay 99-120 per coil. for the price and even if they last a little over a year well worth the money for sure.. i do not see why people wants the best product for the cheapest price. would love to hear if any one is running them with over 400AWHP?

I just had my set installed right before the car went to the tuner. runs super smooth now, better than stock. the shop that did the work said that I am making 350whp. for the price, I cant complain. ill follow up once I get some more time on the coils, but so far, they are working for my needs.
