Default Anyone else make tx2k this year?

Went with my son, was pretty disappointed the track announcer kept using profanity. It caught me off guard when he told his broseph in the big money stands "happy birthday, bitch". He seemed to think it was funny, but I heard some people around me saying wtf, which is how I felt. He used profanity several times Saturday, totally uncalled for.

They also didn't allow any fans near the starting line area, not even the fenced out area to the right, this year. A "guard" was preventing people from going in, said "you must have press credentials". I don't remember seeing that anywhere on the sites. Pretty ridiculous considering I paid for "pit" passes like previous events. IF I attend next year, they sure as hell won't be getting extra for a pit "pass". Hopefully this isn't a trend, it's already a fanboy farce of an event, even with the amazing cars the teams bring.

Even Rolando Resto seems to have left the subaru and even stick shift game. I was trying to let my son say hi in the pit area, but he and his team kept avoiding eye contact (even though he(they?) responded via pm telling me it was cool to come by and say hi). One of his crew or buddies, who seemed to be their lookout, finally let me ask a question. He said Rolando is "moving up to bigger things" and that he sold the white bullet to some company. Apparently he's with the big boy money class and going to focus on the gtr life. I believe the white bullet sti was in the top level of their trailer, at least that's what his buddy said. Was hoping my son and I could at least see the car in person. Huge letdown, but hey it's all about money. Maybe they had it out on Thursday or Friday, but we only went Saturday.

TX2K isn't what it used to be. I was perfectly content doing chores at home. And spent zero money on tickets (for shows or speeding).
