I think I'd use at least the next couple hundred miles after that to gradually work up to using full power or max revs.

34 here. 2015 Audi S4 6MT Stage 2 w/ mods. I bought my first Subie when I was 25 (07 WRX) and loved that thing. Few years later I bought an 07 Legacy GT Spec B as my winter car. Summer car was an 03 s2k that I bought because no local dealers would budge a penny on a VA WRX WRB in 2014. Always wanted an 11+ hatch, but the prices stayed pretty high locally.

I'm waiting to see what the next STi looks like. In a few years I'll look to replace the S4, and it'll be between that and an MK8 Golf R 6MT.

30 in May, still have my 2011 base impreza hatch with a proper stick and looking for some advice. Cant decide on whether or not to throw money at it since it's over 100k miles now or to trade it in towards an newer one or possibly newer wrx. Thoughts?

I am in the same boat as you, age 50, have a 2015 Impreza but with CVT and am thinking of a WRX. Just test drove one and quite like it. Have not had a manual trans car in 15 years.

Default How old are you and what do you drive?

Karth Mcnab

Keep your Current car, you wouldnít get anything close in trade-in value, as to what you paid for it. Use it as a Daily or in harsh conditions, like Snow, rain etc.

Then get a wrx! Youíll thank yourself later. But.... keeping your current car depends on your financial situation, if you have room for another car and if it makes sense as an investment in the long run to have 2 vehicles. What primary purposes the two will serve?

Add in maintenance, insurance, plates etc... Then ask yourself ďDoes this make senseĒ.

Hope Iíve helped.

Tell me about it.
I'm 23 and just picked up a 2020 the other day, not over revving and not lugging it was quite annoying at times. I did, however, purchase the car with the peak boost reading 19psi. Gotta love test drivers, huh?

What is your insurance cost on that? When i was 22 back in 2006, i had a 05 STi. Insurance was $150 a month on full coverage, thatís expensive. At 36 now, my insurance on my wrx is $81 bucks full coverage in NC.

Congratulations on the STi at 20. I was still rocking a 1989 honda accord LXi 5 speed at that age.
